Lexus, arms. Honda, Brakes. Ram, Wheel on Fire? DAY on Flat Rate 959本站添加:
It seems like Joe's got a lot going on under the back of his Toyota Tundra. Lot of carts.
How you doing? Thanks for tuning in. I'm so glad you did. We are going to spend a day on flat rate.
Making it work.
Been pretty busy. Uh almost a little hectic. A lot of diags.
Uh but no repairs. We got a couple. We did we did we did fix some vehicles. So, that was that felt pretty good. Uh, but I want to say we backed out more than we fixed.
Anyway, today today is the end of the work week. It's Friday, so I'm looking forward to a nice weekend. The week was kind of short because of Memorial Day.
That's kind of nice. Although, we missed a video this week. I apologize.
We're doing what we can to make it work.
Let's uh It's 81° already. A little muggy. Unless you're in Florida like me, it's probably not 81° at 7:10 in the morning where you're at. But maybe you are. I don't know.
It's not really uh not really my concern, is it?
Scrap muggle.
Uh focus, focus.
Well, guys, I got to tell you, man.
I'm feeling it. I'm working working really hard. I'm not setting records in hours. I'm doing decent hours, but I'm really working hard for it. I don't know what's going on with all that, but we'll see what happens today. Maybe it's all the diags without repairs. Oh, this key I looked at yesterday with the two doors that don't work. Supposedly, another shop just fixed all that and the warranty company paid them for it, but it's not done. So, that'll probably be going back to that place, too, I'm guessing. We'll see. But we got a couple of drop offs out in the parking lot.
Yeah. Casemi dragstrip John Young Parkway. Let's finish getting this place open up and stop flapping the trap and see what we can do to make it a productive day where we learn things and have fun. Let's do it. Stay tuned.
Look at this gem.
Dodge Ram.
Heck yeah. Starting off the day on fire.
This has got some kind of a brake problem. Let me see what it says here in the work order.
Let me see what it says.
2013 Dodge. It says 33,000 miles on the clock. I just assumed it was like a 2019. My goodness. This truck's a cream puff.
My right front wheel was on fire.
That's what it says.
My right front wheel was on fire.
brake pedal feels okay right now, but he says the pedal went to the floor and he had to pump the pedal.
Well, we're going to take a look and see what happened. Well, it's almost ready for tires, but uh it's got new brakes, but you can see that they have been smoking and that means caliper or hose.
So, what I'll do is I'll lift it up.
I'll get someone to step on the brake pedal and let go. And this will probably drag.
So then what I'll do is I'll open the bleeder and if the pedal loosens right up, it's either the ABS or the brake hose keeping hydraulic pressure on the brake caliper. If I loosen the bleeder and it doesn't loosen up, then it's the caliper mechanically sticking and not releasing.
And then we'll go from there and see what he wants to do with all new brakes.
I wonder if we did them. Someone's just done them all the way around.
So we'll do the inspection. We'll get past that part. Lift it up and come back with the wheels off of this thing. Step on. Step on the brakes.
Let up.
Step on the brakes.
>> What up?
>> All right. Thank you, sir.
>> Thank you.
It's got a brake hose or an ABS problem.
It releases when I open the bleeder.
So, it's some kind of hose or ABS problem. We'll get this wheel off and then we'll pop it loose going into the hose.
This actually feels kind of familiar. I wondered if I might have worked on this.
Not that doing a brake job causes this problem, but I want to remember. I want to say I remember doing a ABS pump for the ABS light.
Uh front and rear brakes, some other things on this truck, but who knows?
I know. I can look it up and find out.
Oo, that got hot.
That got hot.
Well, I think that's an 11 on the hose.
Maybe a 12. Hard to say, but 12.
I'm going to uh get my helper again.
And we'll see. It only holds for about 5 seconds. You got a minute again.
You got a minute again. I want to see if it's the hose or something going on the ABS. It's probably the hose, but I want to verify it.
Put a pry bar on here.
Step on the brakes.
>> What up?
>> Stepping the brakes.
Let up.
Try one more time. Stepping the brakes.
lit up.
Okay. Thank you, sir.
Appreciate it.
It's in the hose.
It takes about 5 seconds to let off.
Unless I loosen the hose. So, the problems between this fitting and this wheel.
I loosen there, it still stays on. I loosen here, it lets right off.
So, the hose is bad. Now, the caliper's been fried anyway. So, needs both. But at least the ABS works.
>> Yeah.
>> Look at that.
>> New pocket screwdriver. And it's magnetized.
I miss having a magnet in my pocket screwdriver. It's super handy when you drop a screw cuz you can get pretty good reach. Anyway, moving on the brakes. My parts are starting to roll in.
So, I've got a 21, a 13, and a 15 for the brake hose. I've already got the wrenches I use to test stuff and bleed stuff. Let's get this thing off of there.
Shouldn't be nothing but a thing. I'll have to disassemble the new caliper.
Comes with the bracket and everything.
So, usually what I'll do is I'll bolt it on and then unbolt the caliper from one side, swing it away so I can get my hardware in and all I have to. But less talk more do.
Anything to save a trip back to the toolbox.
All depends on the volume of thread lock whether that trick works.
The thread lock volume is too high or it's not going to happen.
Got a drip pan to minimize the mess.
Okay.
I think there's nubs on these pads that keep the pistons from lifting off. So, you got to it's got to go back like a quarter inch. Otherwise, doesn't clear.
I'm going to try not to undo the brake till we get to that part.
That's cooked.
I like to put the bracket and caliber back together. That's just how I do it.
Seems like the right thing to do.
Oo, that got hot.
I think we will uh we'll have to see if that's going to be a problem or not.
driving it into the shop, the ABS light wasn't on, but I'm going to have to make a note on the on that for them.
I should get a couple washers really, but this will hold it pretty close.
I think it's going to stop a quarter inch shy or so. 1/ inch.
I got for a second the airbag light came on on the Explorer.
>> Yeah.
>> I like the only thing I can think of is that the tray itself is old. It might just be the resistance going to the airbag that's in the cater. Right.
>> He was like, "Okay, it is what it is.
Now, this replacement caliper might not have the same size bolts, and it doesn't. That's cool. Can be a 14, probably. Yep. 15's loose. 13 of the original one and it's too small. So, let me grab one of them.
The hoses come with copper washers.
The caliper comes with copper washers.
And this is how mechanics end up with spare heart. Look how cheap. And look at those things.
This is what came This is what comes with the brake hose.
Guess which one I'm using.
I got to dress my pads.
Can't have them going around undressed.
Now, when these are new, these they're terrible. There's grease everywhere. All right, I keep having to wipe extra grease off. It gets wasted.
But that's how they do it, I guess. Just a few dabs. Don't want to dry as all.
I'm going to put some over the hardware, too. Well, notice, right? This one has it on the pads. The hardware attaches to the pads on these. So, let's make this a little nicer. You don't want it to get pushed into the rotor.
There's no inner and outer pad on these.
usually be labeled if there is or you'll visually see a difference. I don't see any I don't see anything on these.
I guess these little assist springs didn't do anything to stop this problem.
I think they're more for noise than anything else.
All we can do now is transfer over the brake hose and bleed these brakes.
I don't trust that. I have to get a Got to get a slim wrench.
I was right. 17.
There's a 13 holding the hose to the frame in here.
Right in there. And then on 11.
This is either a 10 or 11. And there's a 14 on the brake hose.
Break this loose. Was it a 12?
Yeah, it was a 12. Okay. Just make sure it's not completely tight, but not completely loosen it.
Take the mounting bolt out.
Keep the mess to a minimum. It's still going to make a mess, but a mess I can live with. Not a mess I can't live with.
And once I unscrew that, the caliper is free from its nest.
15 on the caliper hose end. I'm going to separate that from the caliper after it's out of the truck.
Not that funny, bro.
Separate that after.
Got my new brake hose. There is a right and a left washer. Hose washer.
Caliper.
I'm going to do this side first only because I don't have washers and stuff to fumble with up here.
Get this brake line started first. It's got kind of like a weird locking thread these things have, but it's not stripping anything. It just feels weird.
You get it a turn or two and it kind of stops.
But if it was if it was cross threaded, it wouldn't have gone a turn.
It's a little bit strange, but I don't like to get fluids all over my tools, so I tend to wipe my hands off a lot.
The heck?
Switch that too early.
Why did I do that? Oh, I was going to take it off the caliper. I decided not to.
Now I can.
Get this snugged up so it'll stop dripping.
Come on, bro.
It's a little too small for the brake hose for the ABS hose.
ABS wire. Yeah, that's it. You know what I meant?
Can't have you guys in the comments mixing it up too much.
It's different size. That's cool. All the hardware is a different size.
>> You like that, don't you?
>> You like that gear wrench seat?
>> Yeah, that wheel was already becoming an issue. There were times where I roll and I'd like get caught up like almost fall off the seat.
You're like, "Hell no."
>> Got to be on it.
Got to be on it.
>> Then we still have the alternator. And I was like, I was like, "Well, let me know because he doesn't even hand out yet." I was like, "That way I can at least look at them out. They put them on." I told them they're going to have to wait cuz we got to call the warranty in the dealership out. They call at least look at it and verify that it is the ball rolling.
>> They use an extended warranty. It's going to be a week, week and a half if we hear anything. At the moon, you got the ball rolling. At least you got an answer. You know what it is.
>> Center warranty companies are brutal.
But brutal >> 10 mm different size bleeders.
Every I don't know why. Every single bolt and nut is a different size bleeder. Brake line fittings. The only thing the same is the bolts I didn't change.
It would be weird if they were different.
And we'll gravity bleed this initially.
Once we start getting some good fluid, we'll knock out the other side. In the meantime, I'll put my core back together, get it in the box, ready to go back to the part store.
Yeah, that's what we're wanting to see right there.
On to the next wheel.
All right, two wheels are done. I'm going to hit the brake pedal a couple times. You guys might know if you've been around a little bit. I'm going to hit the brake pedal a couple times, get it pumped up really well, then check the bleeders for air again. I'll probably do it a couple times depending on how the pedal feels and uh how I feel about it.
And of course, we're going to have a nice long road test to make sure there's not going to be any more problems. I mean, for all I know, there is something going on with the ABS and it caused the heat and maybe that damages the hose afterwards. You just got to be you got to be sure before you give it back.
Nothing worse than a customer that got their vehicle towed in that has it towed back in after you work on it again.
And we got a fantastic brake pedal.
Time for drive.
What is this?
Road test time.
Look at this cream puff. 2020 Honda Accord.
Behold. Uh, I said his brakes are noisy or her. I'm not sure which. One thing I noticed opening the hood. Look at this hood prop rod. Is that they going for some kind of a ward? I don't Maybe clear the stuff in here. It only really has to clear this.
Could just go.
I don't know.
I didn't hear any noises in the parking lot. We're going to lift it up, have us a look. And bear in mind, the ABS is really easy to change. Maybe it needs one of those.
Uh, we're going to do an inspection, of course, too. This is open already, so that's one less thing to worry about.
Starting to get a little dirty. Not horrible yet.
All right, let's get it up in the air and take a look. Super nice car. 80,000 miles. 2020. I guess that's about right.
Nice and clean. Like an eight on the lever.
Oh, no point taking those wheels off.
Front brakes are like brand new. You want to see those front brakes are 9 mm, maybe 10.
They're like brand new.
We will however remove the rear brakes because the rear brakes are down around 3 mm on this wheel on the outer. Not really easy to see the inner. So we'll definitely take the wheels off. It's probably a squealer touching I'm guessing somewhere.
Yeah, this pad's even maybe a half a millimeter or so. I can see that by Yeah, you're right. You heard me. I'm going to grab a 19 and get these wheels off of here.
Let me get a real good look under the skirt and see what's going on.
All right, we got some brake job work to do. What's What do you say? Let's get to it. Kind of like a Chrysler, even though this is a Honda, but you know, most brands don't make their own brakes.
Third party companies make brakes for them and stuff. So, that's probably why.
Allen bolts in here. It's got electric parking brake. But, uh, as someone told me that watches my videos, they said, "You know, you don't have to take the motor off. It'll screw back in." I'm like, "What?" I just assumed you might hurt something. So, for years, I've been taking it all apart.
We're going to try doing it without doing that.
Hopefully, we don't have any reverts.
Let's go.
Get in there. There you go.
Now, I've got this in a bind here.
That's my own fault. I should have unstuck the pads first, but do it now.
That's all.
You can see there's quite a bit uneven pad wear.
When we get done, it's going to be even pad wear.
Got to roll this piston back.
Let's see. We got to make this shorter.
I don't want that upside down.
You got to find the little divots in the piston that kind of locks the tool.
Yeah. Turns in like butter.
Especially in a car that's kind of new.
When we get done, we'll just activate the parking brake. Make sure it's going to work. Okay. That's the bottom right there. It hits dunk. So, I like to unstick it just in case. Get myself just a little wiggle room.
There you go. It's out of the way.
Perfect.
These are kind of tight and I've been abusing my ratchets lately. So, I'm going to use a Manuel ratchet like a good boy.
at least to break them loose. Then I'll use power tools.
Swivel doesn't feel too happy, huh? Might have to look into that.
Hopefully my swivel has not had enough clean this bracket up.
Now, rather than get my impact driver, we'll try this out. See if it works.
That part didn't work.
It's a little rustier than most of what I see.
Just put a little brake grease on that hub so it doesn't rust again like that.
I don't think they're going back up north anytime soon.
Think about brake cleaning that can.
Yeah.
Heat.
All right. Brake pads.
The inner pad has the spring and the squealer at the bottom from the factory.
That's how I'm putting them back.
I do want to put some uh brake grease on this guy.
Uh if I can get it back in here.
Did I mention that I hate when this thing has so much grease that you can't keep it from getting all over?
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
I already greased the slide, so we don't need more of that.
Uhoh. I got to get that out of the garbage.
You little monster. You You bad girl.
It's crazy that might have mentioned it once or twice. I get this excess uh my spring, my caps.
This wheel is done.
This whole car is done. As a matter of fact, I already did the other side.
I wanted it to be a surprise.
How you doing? Ready, right?
>> It's getting there. Getting close.
>> I'll be inside.
>> We're getting close.
Got stacks of parts and comebacks to deal with at the same time. Jimmy, can you bail him out? I'm like there's any struts and shocks below. No, he's got lights he can't get out. Oh, that's terrible.
Go get this quality 2007 RAV 4 making an engine or transmission noise of some kind from Wisconsin. So it won't be rusty or anything. It'll be fine. It's going to be fine. Don't worry. I term U-turn said gal breen.
Okay. I don't know what that note means.
I don't know if it's for me or something.
Tell you one thing, it's hot in here.
Probably 150, give or take.
Oh, you don't believe me? You think I'm exaggerating, huh? Okay, I'm going to get a temperature gun right away and show you before it cools off too much.
27, 704 miles.
145 seems to be a little cooler. 133° 144 at the stereo. Weird note, too. I don't know what temperature that is, but it's cooler outside in the car. 118° with the paint out in the sun with the interior. And this is with the AC running, by the way. It's only been a couple minutes.
144°.
You get used to it after a little while.
Almost. Not sure what the noises they're talking about. I don't hear it, but I'm going to look. 207 704 and a love rating at eight. This thing's actually in pretty nice shape. I didn't need the sink and it was a little awkward to drive it like that, but got it done.
As long as the Buddha can fit, the Buddha can drive it.
I'm guessing his name's Buddha. I don't know.
Oh my goodness gracious. What the heck?
That's not in the right place.
Not sure what the noise is they're talking about. You guys hear anything funny? I don't hear anything.
Interesting. I might have to go drive it. See, if I hear something, I'll show you.
Well, maybe I should adjust my lev rating. I didn't look back there.
It says here, "My engine or transmission is making a noise. Seems to be coming from the engine. A low rumble or growl when I'm in park or neutral.
I need the air. Man, it's hot." says 99 outside, but it's I think it's about 95 96. It's hot, but it's not 99. I can't duplicate their concern. Uh, driving it showed me nothing.
I'll let it run a little while. See if it'll do something that somebody needs to be worried about. I'm not really I term. Um, said gal.
Brooklyn or Brook I don't I don't know why I'm trying to figure out the note.
Does it matter? I don't think it does.
Uh maybe when you're bored and you're trying to find weird noises that the car is not making and there's two hours left in the week. Maybe then uh you know complimentary checks on it too. So drivetrain diag no check engine light, no drivability symptoms, just a noise is what they're worried about.
It's a heck of a cool flashlight, huh?
Mind your business. Stop poking around with you. I get bored. I got to keep my mind entertained. I'm going to play with this a little while. See if something comes up. Do the inspection.
Maybe I'll drive it again. See if something happens. Uh, I didn't drive it very far.
But I'll drive it further. That's all.
You know, I'd much rather have a stack of suspension arms and struts and stuff.
Couldn't find anything with that Rav 4.
So now they gave me this Lexus. One of the other guys sold lower control arms.
They put D in a week or two ago. Now the AC is warm again and a wheel alignment at 3:30 and they said it's got to be done today. So it's like 5 hours worth of work. Hour and a half. It's fine.
What could go wrong? Towed back in with some loose bolts or something. No big deal.
Uh, pretty clean car. 127,000 mi on this Lexus Point GS430. I did I did find the airbox was open and that rock. It wasn't properly closed. I'm wondering if she was hearing something or not. I I fixed it cuz I saw it was it wasn't closed right. I may have fixed it accidentally.
I'm going to look for die in this before I do the suspension arms. The arm shouldn't be too arm shouldn't be too hard on this. But I probably got to find I'm guessing I got to find a wheel lock key, too, cuz I doubt these hot rod wheels are going around unlock.
All right. Um got some oil leaks. The valve covers are leaking pretty good.
Let's see it up there.
It's got some oil leaks.
I don't think these arms will be too bad, but you got to take the sway bar, the strut, the lower ball joint. This goes mounts going up. So, you got to take it off the spindle. And I don't I don't think they'll come with it. I'm not sure. And then you got these two bushings. If I can find a wheel lock key, shouldn't be a problem. They're all wheel locks, but I want to see if I can find some dye first. The problem is they're paying me a half hour to find dye. And uh it take a half hour to get all these covers off. Not for nothing.
And and if I spend a lot of time trying to find dye, we're going to run out of time today.
Let's get these covers off.
Your lack of prepar preparation does not constitute an emergency on my part.
Everything's yellow. That's the oil is leaking is yellow. The corrosion is yellow.
The refrigerant die is yellow.
The oil filter looks yellow. Okay.
The hose is all yellow, but there's nothing wet. We want we want wetness from oil and yellow or wetness from refrigerant oil preferably.
Let's see it.
Let's find the AC drain if I can.
And a transmission is covered in yellow.
That just might be your AC drain.
That's definitely a stain of yellow.
Something dripping down from the top. I don't know if that shows up without the glasses, but it'll show up.
Something's definitely going on there. I need to find the drain right at the drain and see if the drain is leaking at the drain.
It looks like something is spraying dye around here. Look at that.
It's got to be running down the top of the transmission.
Find out where the AC drain is.
Look at that. It's everywhere coming down on top of the transmission. It's not on this side, though. It's coming down the top and then the left and right towards the back.
I'll see that it all shows up in the monitor, it looks like. So, hopefully it makes sense to you guys. But this thing's got to have a loop in the evaporator.
See what I can find if I can find where the drain tube is. Yeah. You don't know.
Lock. Uh, lock. What do you mean locking like for clamps and stuff? Kind of like the lock.
Snap. Snap ring pliers. No, >> vice grips.
>> Right there.
>> Locking pliers is probably correct. Vice grips is probably the brand.
>> I almost bought the set off of off of today. I was like, I'll wait.
>> These are for stripped nuts. No, it's because uh as expected, the nut is making the spindle turn on the top of the shaft.
>> Oh, >> so I got the bottom part of the loop off, >> but I at least kind of see right there, right above the bushing. So, I'm going to see if I can hold it.
>> Check out my safeties. Huh?
>> Check out my lip safeties.
You listening?
Listening.
again.
>> No safeties >> again.
>> Who needs that ship?
>> I don't know what you're talking about.
There's no air leak on this one.
>> Or as far as we know.
>> It might start leaking suddenly and then there'll be no reason to be terrified.
>> Then there'll be a problem.
The lifts are expensive, you know.
Well, I can't get his lug nuts off either, so that's a problem.
Don't worry about it. We'll knock it out in an hour. It's a big deal. Jimmy, cry, baby.
Well, that might pose to be a problem.
I'm going to have to use Manuel labor to have any chance of getting the lock nuts off. They probably haven't been taken off in a long, long time. It always goes smoothly when you rush.
What could go wrong?
Crap, baby.
So, let it down and break all my nuts loose. Oh, that's right. I don't have to release the safety.
There is none.
Let's get us a break bar. I'm just going to go right to the big gun cuz why why struggle with the small stuff.
I just want to get them to turn and then I'll use the impact gun after that.
That's funny. What's >> that?
>> This stay right there.
>> The shock fell.
>> Nice.
>> All right.
Got that one. That one wasn't so bad.
You big crab, baby.
There you go. That one's pretty tight.
Yeah.
When you have cheap Chinese-made locking nuts on your car, you definitely want to have them as tight as you could possibly get them. That might have been that might have been sarcasm.
And there's sharp edges coming off of here now. So, I got to watch for that.
Watch your head.
Don't smash it in to the fender of the car or your nuts come loose.
Don't worry, this is 2 hours labor math.
I'm making that big money now.
I don't know why that's so funny. It's really not funny at all, to tell you the truth.
If you ever get us flat on the road, there's no way it's ever going to get changed. Someone's going to come over with a four-way bar and go, I can't get them loose.
That was a 4ft or whatever 3 and 1/2t breaker bar.
I smashed my face on the fender and tweaked my glasses a little bit, but I got to get this done time to fix it.
Got an hour and 10 minutes left.
Got to charge the AC, which is going to be empty in a week again. Do the two lower arms and a wheel alignment. Pronto, get on it.
I don't know why, but I feel like I should put something under the lift since the safeties aren't working. I'm just I worked on the other car on my chair, the truck.
But, uh, this one I can't do that cuz it's all the way under here. So, I wonder if these arms have the bushings and stuff. They do come with the bushings, but they don't come with the ball joints. Hope they didn't think it was coming with the ball joints. Got a pretty complicated ball joint tie right on attaches to the ball joint stuff.
Sway bar links strut in our front and rear bushing. This comes with everything except the ball joint.
I guess we're not changing no ball joints. That's bigger than that. That's smaller. Give you a quick heads up. I probably shouldn't film this the mood I'm in, but I'm going to film it anyway.
There's nuts on the other side of every bolt. None of them are going to a welded nut.
Come on. It's got to be done.
Sitting on my freaking phone all day.
Oh, I forgot to order your parts. I'm sorry. You got to stay late and finish that car.
What?
Probably can leave that not up there for when I get back to it.
Sway bar.
This side has the hype link on it, which is a 10 mm asphos.
Happen to have one right here.
19 mm.
There you go. It looks like a 17 on the other side.
Not going to take that all the way out yet.
So, I think if I just take this tie rod end off of here. Oh, it's got a reusable cotter pin. Rayman Ray Specialty right here and pop that off. Take the tire end off. We can just separate this on the floor with the out of the car. Look at that. That's pure sweetness right there. in a place I can still see it and not lose it, which to me is on the lift on rubber pads sticking out just a little bit so I remember where it is in 10 minutes. 18 I think this is on the tie rod or is it a 17?
Oh, here comes the fire truck.
Don't worry, Mr. Fireman. They're building like 17 more apartment complexes. This is going to be fine.
It's going to be fine. Oh. Oh, no. There it is. Gravity check. I put my nuts on top of the pins.
Sounds like it would hurt, but I'll be all right.
It's also going to help me not lose them. I can grab my nuts and my pins at the same time.
I wonder if I should uh get one of my ball joint press tools for that.
So, >> if I was to sell this evaporator job, >> Yeah.
>> would you be able to have it done before end of business on Monday?
Maybe, >> maybe. Pretty good chance.
>> The best I can tell you.
>> Got it.
>> Yeah, >> absolutely. Of course, now while I was pressing this apart, this swung out of my way, so I really didn't have to. But that's all right.
This car went from emergency today to can I get it done by end of business Monday?
Like, what?
Thought it thought it had to go today.
It was right for death. That's the end of the month today. Ah, that is good stuff, my friend. Now, this one, I can put that tool on here and not risk hurting the threads. But here, the threads come all the way up. So, I have to put a nut on that to protect it.
So, what we'll do is go like this.
Changing that arm. Anyway, I just realized going to change the arm. Why does it matter if I p it up a little bit?
Going to hurt nothing.
It's the ball joint you want.
Oh my god. Can have Can you have it done today?
Oh my god. I can have it done my Monday afternoon.
Two hours later, huh?
They got Jay doing struts and shocks and a wheel alignment on that car. He's on the rear. He's on the rear shock still.
We got 45 minutes.
Probably the most entertaining channel on YouTube. I know. I've heard it. I just need to shut up and get it done. I know. I've heard it.
It's not new.
It's like if someone put you on an operating table and start sawing your arm off without Novacane. And when you tell them what they go, stop complaining. You complain all the time.
Well, I'm you're sawing my arm off. I know. Shut up. Stop complaining.
Is that extreme? Maybe. Maybe that's a little more extreme than than a day on flat rate.
Not a lot more extreme. Just a little more.
Oh, well that's awesome.
What do you suppose that is?
I'm going to say rust.
Almost looks like diesel oil.
What does it go into? That goes into the frame. I got to take the 14s out of the back, too. the uh this rear bushing is trapped by this bracket here.
So, I got to get me a 14.
Little lady pulled up in the middle of the parking lot.
I need my AC looked at right away. It's warm.
Need it done by end of day.
Don't get hit in the face with a control arm.
That would make the weekend not nearly as much fun as it would have been otherwise.
Got to get some of my juice out of here.
Chassis juice.
Okay. All right.
Watch yourself.
those.
I believe that was this one. Goes underneath my tie rod end like this.
Yeah.
All right. Now I know Now the arm won't fall out. Hit me in the face at least. That's cool.
>> Yeah. I want an excellent laugh.
>> You want a good laugh?
>> Oh yeah, man.
Let me get these arms in here. I know today. Not sure about the alignment part. We'll see.
We'll see if I can get this bolt started.
Oh, it fell off. Where'd it go? Did you guys see where my nuts went? I thought I was being so slick. Oh, I found it.
Give me a really long video to edit again, but that's all. I love you guys.
It's worth it.
People that support me the most are the ones I do this for.
You do have to tighten the nut on the back of this radius arm uh bushing, whatever you want to call it, a radial arm bushing. You do have to tighten it at ride height.
comes out of the box loose as it be. I was going to work on my truck Sunday, but I'm just I just don't know, man. I'm not feeling it.
Tired.
I'm tired, man.
I'm thirsty.
What is that? Remember what size that was? I don't remember.
19.
Couldn't have done it perfect if I was looking.
Couldn't have done it more perfect.
That's it. That's what I meant. Now, don't worry. Don't worry.
Ow. Watch your fingers.
Trying to get that shock. eyelet up in this arm here.
That's going to be enough.
Can I borrow another set of vice grips, sir?
>> Yeah.
>> Second draw, I think it is. And you found it. You found them.
I >> think this is uh Oh, you guys are getting discharged. I've been letting the camera run all I'm going to have like 5 hours worth of footage to edit today and it's going to end up with 40 minutes of usable footage.
because my hands are covered in either brake fluid or front end grease and I don't want to turn off the camera. So, a lot of useless footage.
I hate the end of the month.
customer approved the evaporator.
So, we're going to do that Monday.
rear toe with an eccentric cam front caster.
Oh, you got to replace the brand new bushing we just put on.
Okay, not really off a whole bunch, tell the truth.
Let's go to the rear.
Adjust that toe first, then we'll see where we're at.
I don't know. Oh, there it is up there.
Looks like a 19 or 20 or something.
I got to get some more. I'm going to take this down just to get in there comfortably.
All right, guys.
I've added unbeat. I got to do the front and I get an evaporator on Monday on this car. We'll see. Thanks for watching. Before you head out, do me a favor. Poke that like button. Don't forget there's links in the description.
If you want some swag, we got sticker mule.com/jmiw.
And we got a link in the description for the Amazon store. You see any tools you might be interested in that we use or ones very similar to it. So check it out if you're interested.
Most important thing.
