By stripping away the molecular camouflage, this MIT-Stanford collaboration elegantly simplifies one of oncology's most frustrating puzzles. It is a brilliant demonstration of how high-level bioengineering can turn invisible threats into vulnerable targets.

One of the biggest challenges in cancer treatment isn't destroying cancer cells.追加:
Cancer cells hide behind a sugar shield and that makes them invisible to your immune system. Researchers at MIT and Stanford created something called Abblelex, antibbody lectin chimeas.
Abble strips away that shield and they combine antibodies that target tumors with lectins that attach to those protective sugars, effectively peeling away the cancer's camouflage. And in some early lab studies, they triggered stronger anti-cancer responses than some current treatments. These are things happening right now in labs, in clinical trials, and in some cases already in patients.
