Prostate Treatments & Sexual Function-What You Should Know

This can be reduced in amount or go dry completely, [music] and this definitely feels different for guys. Unfortunately, the enlargement of the prostate itself [music] clamping down on the flow does affect this negatively. And so, if we don't do anything, [music] over time that will get worse. Secondly, medications which help with prostate symptoms and help urine flow, unfortunately, adversely affect ejaculation [music] for a large number of guys. And the traditional transurethral resection surgery does have a relatively high rate of guys being left [music] with dry ejaculation. So, that's one reason patients come to me for prostate embolization because [music] the rate of affecting an ejaculation is very low.
