[00:00:00]One of the questions I got from a caller whenever we took live viewer calls on our booze and the news Friday bonus show was about sort of how I took some of the hateful comments that I got specifically when I posted for the first time myself and my boyfriend Michael and there were some people like gay cause and then they were just expressing how they felt real disturbed by that and it's weird that you can just post like a happy photo and people be like oh you're probably a disgusting predator you little dick you little LGBT you [ __ ] And I was just saying no I think once you're in the biz long enough those things don't really phase you but one thing that does bother me is well before I say that let me explain to that caller a little bit cuz it's going to connect to the story we're talking about today.

[00:00:49]The question goes something like why would people say that?

[00:00:52]You post a loving photo with a partner that you love and they're like angry at you for it just because of both being guys like whatever the context is why would you be so angry at a stranger for being happy and in love?

[00:01:04]>> [snorts] >> And the answer I can give to you is they shouldn't be that's heinous it's disgusting I hate it but the reason is because of yes long-standing societal cultural biases that they have and then the world that they lived in and hatred in their heart fine but then also as someone here's the photo I mean come on come on adorable. How would you be hateful towards that? I don't get it.

[00:01:30]But one of the reasons is because if you like me have to spend a lot of time on right-wing Twitter you see that there are certain accounts that are dedicated to curating for their followers a portrayal of the world where the only gay people or LGBT people you ever hear about are predators.

[00:01:53]And any population of millions of people you'll be able to find creeps, predators, sex criminals in.

[00:02:00]You can take whatever group you'd like. But, if you dishonestly curate a feed that only shows you rage bait when the person is of a particular identity, so that that person can have their preconceived notions and hatred fueled, then that's number one, really dishonest, and also exactly what these accounts do. And then people end up living in this world where it's justified to be hatred towards any random gay person because in their online echo chamber, the only gay people they ever hear about are Libs of TikTok showing you some predator who happened to be gay.

[00:02:42]And of course, regardless of that person's identity, they should be held accountable to the full extent of the law. But, the accounts know that they're taking these stories out of context to to make it seem like this is a matter of someone's identity as opposed to their responsibility as just a person, as an individual person.

Okay, so that's part of the answer, which is there are whole accounts dedicated to funneling for right-wing consumers a feed of constant rage bait that makes them believe anyone who's in this subgroup of an identity or an identity group must be a creep cuz that's the only thing they hear about in relation to that identity group.

[00:03:50]And that's where you get a lot of right wingers being like Democrats are the party of pedos and they want to trans your kid and make them a pedo and the drag queens are dangerous to your kids and that's what Democrats want us to shove drag queens down your get thought.

[00:04:09]Because they're they're allowing themselves to be rage baited like that.

[00:04:13]It's still the consumers responsibility to know this probably is a bunch of out of context provocative examples that don't give me broader stats or anything but just want to just make me have my biases confirmed.

[00:04:28]And let me be angry at the other cuz they're bad. And that's how you get people commenting so heinous things on me just being like I'm happy and in love.

[00:04:45]Because man if there's ever been a trend of a political group or an identity group where it feels like I'm constantly hearing about stories of predatory behavior of pedophilic actions I think it's your party.

[00:05:12]But I want to illustrate this to you so you understand my point.

[00:05:17]Which is that the same right wing accounts who spend every day trying to dig anywhere in the world any story of a bad person doing a bad thing as long as they have a certain identity label on them so that they can make it feel like an epidemic and then paint all of a group with that brush.

[00:05:36]Let me show you how easy that is with the Republican Party.

[00:05:41]That doesn't mean I'm saying being a Republican makes you a pedo. Obviously.

[00:05:46]Obviously.

[00:05:48]But the right's been doing this a long time taking some rando even just random Tik Toker says an extreme view and then saying this is all of the Democratic Party or random person in the LGBTQ community saying this is all LGBTQ people.

[00:06:01]And now liberals are starting to do it.

[00:06:06]But I think there's actually more to this one.

[00:06:08]This account's called GOPLs and you can just scroll and scroll and scroll and scroll. Trump's campaign chairman in a particular state, Tim Nolan, has been convicted of trafficking 19 girls, seven of them under age. Republican candidate Ryan Jenks has been sentenced to 20 years for molesting a 12-year-old girl. Republican candidate Dean Bull has been sentenced to 18 years for sexual abuse of a little boy. Scroll and scroll and scroll and scroll and scroll and that's essentially all this account posts.

[00:06:41]Not to mention Trump's spiritual advisor recently was caught uh for being and then got a really short prison sentence for uh molesting a child. And as I was scrolling I came across this story.

[00:06:56]Republican mayor Misty Roberts raped her son's 16-year-old friend at a party. Now then I went to the source and I will just say GOPLs I think documenting this in the world that we're in is a valuable asset. She wasn't technically Republican. She was the mayor of a very conservative town but technically that uh mayoral candidacy didn't have any party affiliation. A lot of mayors races don't. It's just like you're just running as a person you you're not a Republican or Democrat. But she was a mayor of a very conservative town in Louisiana and this story is disturbing.

[00:07:30]The former mayor of a Louisiana city has been convicted of raping a 16-year-old boy during a party at her house. Misty Roberts, my gosh, what a name.

[00:07:38]Faces sentence of up to 10 and 7 years.

[00:07:40]I'm going to show you what her sentence was.

[00:07:43]And uh jurors deliberated less than an hour and she was found guilty because she sexually assaulted an underage boy while both had been drinking alcohol heavily during a July 2024 pool party at her home.

[00:07:56]And this was while she was in her second term as DeRidder's, which is a town in Louisiana, top elected official. On the final day of the trial, the victim testified that despite imbibing so much he vomited, Roberts flirted with him by the pool and began kissing him. The boy who at the time was too young to be able to legally consent sex with Roberts testified that she eventually took him upstairs and raped him. She ended up incriminating herself even further by um arguing with her son and yelling, "Go fight your friend. He's the one who did it." And then texting someone else, one of her children, nephew, saying, "Lie till you die." to cover it up.

[00:08:36]And then ultimately ended up admitting to it in in text messages saying, "I effed up."

[00:08:43]So again, here's the deal, MAGA.

[00:08:49]If you want to feed yourself constant clickbait and ragebait anytime some random not elected official even who fits into identity group that you already want to hate does something horrible that they should be held accountable for and it's just posted one after another for you because of the way that large populations work, just remember your president was best friends with a sex trafficker. Your president has dozens and dozens and dozens of allegations against him.

[00:09:22]Your Texas Senate nominee assisted in getting a pedophile out of prison.

[00:09:29]And this GOP House account is able to everyday post another story of not just random people, but very often right-wing judges, former Trump campaign officials, former Trump spiritual advisers, January 6th defendants who Trump pardoned, who are child sex abusers.

[00:09:52]And this particular example, just because we just got the news that her sentence was only 90 days, disgusted me. This isn't the most applicable example even cuz she wasn't technically a Republican mayor, a mayor of a very conservative town. So, I'm not going to mislabel that.

[00:10:10]But, I did want you to update on it cuz I think we have a major problem with this, too, with the Paxton deal, with that guy, and then deals like this where Missy Robertson did 90 days in jail, 5 years suspended sentence, so she'll only have to be in jail 90 days.

[00:10:24]If you abuse children, you know, I'm normally not like, "Just throw the key away." In a lot of cases, I do think people should be able to >> [gasps] >> redeem themselves, but if there's any cases where you need to go to prison for a long time, it's child sex abuse cases, obviously.

[00:10:44]Micah [snorts] Erfan responded to one of these posts about the Ryan Dwayne Jenks being sentenced to 20 years, and he was a Republican candidate for molesting a 12-year-old girl, and said, "Republican leaders are being exposed as pedophiles every other day at this point. Where is the mainstream media attention?"

[00:10:59]So, I just thought that I should illustrate that for some of the people who send us very violent and hateful DMs pretending like they have the moral high ground because it is the left who has some sort of predator problem.

[00:11:15]Any large population of people, meaning a political movement that breaks up the country in two halves, is going to have predators in it.

[00:11:23]Any group with millions of people like the LGBTQ community, or church communities, or law enforcement is going to have predators in it. And different groups have different uh extents of that problem.

[00:11:38]And the Republican Party, man, and Trump specifically, his orbit, the list of people who were directly associated with him, and himself, and his former best friend, that have a past of not just being predators, but also targeted at children, I think rises to the level of an actual trend.

[00:12:00]And so I I by no means want to just slander any person who happens to have conservative views and be like, "You are the party of pedophiles." Like Marjorie Greene used to say about Democrats.

[00:12:10]But if that's the game you want to play, I can tell you the stories with R next to their name are far too frequent.

[00:12:25]And a pretty disturbing trend. So, I would be mindful of that, for sure.
