Cancer is not a disease but a natural part of aging, where rogue cells that fail to die through apoptosis (programmed cell death) become cancerous; modern medicine's apparent increase in cancer rates is largely due to better detection methods and population growth, not actual disease prevalence. Lifestyle modifications such as walking daily, eating in moderation, and maintaining emotional well-being can reduce premature death risk by up to 80%, making them more effective than pharmaceutical interventions for many conditions.

Truth About Cancer & Immunity! Dr. B. M. Hegde
Added:No disease has increased, absolutely.
Mark my words, absolutely in the last 100 years. But there's a relative increase for various reasons. A, the population has increased. I'll give you an example. When I started life in 1963 in Mangalore, we were 4 lakhs of people there. Today we have 20 lakhs of people.
So naturally, five times more diseases must be there. Number one. Number two, cancer is not a disease, it's a part of aging. Sometimes children also get cancer. There's an exception, for every rule there's an exception. The longer you live, the higher the chance of getting cancer. Politicians take claim say saying credit for saying that in 1947, India's health expectancy was 27 years. Now it is 67 years. So we have done it. What happened is life expectancy that they're talking about, not lifespan. Big difference. Life expectancy is the number of years a newborn child could expect to live, which is 67 years. That doesn't mean it lives to 67 years. But even 100 years ago there were 100 year olds. There were centenarians in society. But life expectancy has gone up because it's a statistical term. I'll give you an example. When my mother delivered me, the average mother delivering 10 children, one child or two children will live. Rest of the children will die when they're young. Now let us take a mother who has delivered 10 children. Nine of them died around one month. One child lived for 100 years. What is the life expectancy of the family? 100 by 10 years. Now the society improved, cleanliness improved. Instead of the dais, some midwives came, hospitals came, delivery was better, nutrition was slightly better, cleanliness was better.
So instead of 10 children dying, five children live, okay? Now these five children live for 50 years, let us say.
5 into 50 is 250 by divided by is 25.
Suddenly it has jumped from 10 years to 25 years. Nobody has done nothing, remember that. Nobody has done nothing.
So more number of people alive, more diseases. Number one. Number three. In the olden days, what is cancer? When a man gets pain or something, then he comes to the doctor, then the diagnosis is made. Today not like that. You go to the school and check everybody.
Today if I have a total body scanner and I scan all of us, all of us will have not one cancer, at least about five to 10 cancers growing.
But they don't become disease cancer.
Did you understand that? What is a cancer? A rogue cell. A cell which has to die on a particular day, every cell has to die, and it gets a message from the suicide gene saying that Mr. Cell, your time is up, you die. They die naturally, which is called apoptosis.
It's a botanical term, which is falling of a brown leaf. Have you seen your tree? When a leaf becomes brown, it falls off and a new green leaf comes.
That was done by a man called Jeffrey.
And Jeffrey was a professor of botany in the University College London. That term was borrowed into medicine and we say, "Okay, this the apoptotic death." Now, when a cell dies prematurely, it dies by breaking the cell wall, which is called necrosis.
Now, necrosis releases the content of the cell to the outside, which then destroys more cells. So, what does a cell do? Now, there are billions of cells. Now, let us take the red blood cell, which has to live for 120 years.
At the end of that, the cell gets a message. Now, in post office, when the letter comes, it may not come to it, may go to someone else. So, when there are trillions of cells in the body, sometimes the message doesn't reach the cell on time. So, the cell doesn't die.
If the cell outlives one day, it becomes a rogue cell. It mutates. And every rogue cell is a cancer. You understand that? So, in every one of us, there will be a few rogue cells every day. They are the beginning of a cancer. But what happens to these cells? There are two things happening. One, you eat a lot, cell grows, that cancer cell grows.
Number two, you hate people, you're angry with people, it grows. But if you love everybody, the cell dies. If you eat in moderation, the cell dies. If you exercise, the cell dies. So, the cancers die. And the biggest Now, 80% of your risk of dying prematurely can be reduced by 1 hour walk every day if you are not a manual laborer. All our drugs to lower blood pressure, etc., etc., etc., that they said can lower it by 1%. You're 80% by modification lifestyle. There was a professor of medicine in 1733 in Vienna who was 26 years old, a brilliant fellow. His name was Charles Smith who wrote the first textbook of medicine.
Who wrote, "For every disease there are three things. A, change of mode of living. B, tranquility of mind. C, drugs rarely ever, if ever." Full stop. Now, 2012, you can rewrite that. There are For every disease, change of mode of living, tranquility of mind, which we don't have today. And drugs rarely, if ever. It can be homeopathy, homeopathy, sympathy, any pathy.
There's no problem. Okay? Did you understand that? So, now you I can there is apparently more, but not real really more. Same thing with heart attack. Some study was done for 5 years in Europe, and the man found out, his name is Steven F.
Steven And this is an article in The Lancet, 1987 March issue. Stahabens Steven Stahabens. And Stahabens article shows that not even 1% increase in heart attack in the last 100 years. But people say everybody has heart attack. Why? Oh, those days if you get a chest pain and go to the doctor, then they heart attack. It was not like that. Checkup.
You come checkup, and they do a angiogram, 97% of the people have heart disease. You take 100 children from the high school, and your association pays for that, and get them angiogram, and 90% [clears throat] of the children have three vessel blocks. If they don't have, they don't live beyond 25 years.
Today we have a method of producing blocks if you are unlucky not to have a block. Simple yogic method can produce blocks in your heart. Can you believe that? So, block is not heart disease.
Now, we equate coronary artery block as coronary artery disease. This is where we have increased the number, and we have increased our business. Did you get answer to your questions?
>> No, immunization.
>> No, before we had Two IAS officers are so angry with me that they filed a suit against me. But of course, the suit got dismissed.
Polio plus Another polio plus Long back, textbooks of medicine also have said for a malnourished child, attenuated live virus should not be given by mouth.
So, all that I said in a meeting like this is see, if a child is malnourished, you will give it an injection, sock vaccine, not the Sabin vaccine. Paper Dr. says polio vaccine is very bad for health. And what happened was 3 days later there was a polio to be given. And then I had gone to partner and then suddenly I get to know sir, I'm PA to DC. I said why am I got a case against me or something? I was in partner. No sir, DC is very angry with you. I said who is DC to be angry with me? But I'm not his tenant or anything. I'm not I've not paid my rental.
No sir, he's very angry with you because you wrote something against polio vaccine. I said I didn't write anything.
You can get the paper and ask your DC to listen. You must write a rebuttal. See, DC wants it by evening today. I said look, I'm not under your DC's control.
So, please tell your DC that I'm not going to write a rebuttal because I don't have to do that. I won't say I will I never said that like politicians.
I never said that.
I want to know the report and I can tell you. Luckily, Pushpa Bhargava was the deputy chairman of the knowledge commission in India who resigned on this issue from the knowledge commission and wrote a beautiful article four page article in the Hindu called politics of poliomyelitis.
Ah, good. See.
Politics of poliomyelitis.
But anyway, I've been able to convince chief minister that poor children should not be given polio vaccine orally.
So, vaccination is good provided it's done scientifically in a child which is well-nourished. Malnourished child has no protein at all in the body. What vaccine can do? See, Delhi polio virus.
I wrote to them, you have you analyzed that? Did you find out what virus that is? Wrote to the Ghulam Nabi Azad, get that virus fingerprinted today. PCR test. When you give oral polio to a poor child and the child travels in the train and our train is an open place and all the comes out in the and lot of people poor people live on the railway track. Have you seen Delhi and Calcutta? I go to Calcutta for examining for MRCP exams and I look down. There are people living on the railway track.
And when the train comes signal comes they all move away and when the again they play cricket on the railway track.
And the child will eat that and same hand that eat. The virus goes inside and already it has mutated in the gutter of that first child which has become powerful P3 P2 which kills you. And the government doesn't know how many children have died of vaccine virus.
Nobody knows because their statistics.
You read Pushpa Bhargava's article he gives how many children have died by then.
These things don't get because there's a so much of pressure. Everybody thinks vaccination is 100% foolproof.
A study showed that flu vaccine is useless except for a particular age group of children between six and seven.
Above the age of 60 it produces more flu than protecting you. Was it publicized?
No. Nobody will publish that because there's a very powerful industry behind it.
>> [laughter] [laughter] >> If you ask me you don't require any treatment for the MI when once the first phase is over. So whether it's homeopathy or modern medicine or anything you don't require anything.
Provide the patient changes his lifestyle, stops smoking, stops drinking, eating less.
I don't know ma because I know I'm not aware of any study published anywhere which says homeopathy is good. Let us not you know fool ourselves. You do a study ma and show me the documents I will publish the study. This is an international journal. I'm the editor-in-chief. I'm nobody. But my co-editor-in-chief is a Nobel laureate, double Nobel laureate. And my editorial board has five Nobel laureates and the top who is who in the world on science.
So I'll publish your article. Send it.
To today I am not aware of anybody saying that homeopathy is good for MI or IHD. I don't know. IHD is a disease which is 100% in the mind. So homeopathy placebo effect anything is good. You give water also it's good. But you say this is number of patients I have treated, compare number of patients treated with water or modern medicine this is with homeopathy and this is better than this every way I will publish it. That is called randomized control study which has no meaning if you ask me that's not scientific but that's the science accepted in the world. We go by what the world accepts.
You read my article how foolish our cities are. In the Hindu I wrote an article so nicely he has written and poor man has not read the whole thing there's no you get it.
Open page. So it is always like that. I wrote for the last article I wrote one month ago. Hindu has been kind enough to at least put once a month. In one month I sent four articles and they put one article. Last article I wrote an article in the Hindu some years ago what is science? I said science is what scientist do that's science.
BMI is a bloody fool he doesn't know anything. 600 6 half a page article in the Hindu. So I wrote that person a letter thank you very much. 6 and a half lakhs of people now know how bad BMI is.
At least I get advertisement 6 and a half lakhs know in India that BMI exists. And you know and half a page advertisement would cost a few lakhs in Hindu.
So it's nice and Hindu has started this is a very good thing you must have debate then only things come out.
The foolish idea right? Yes.
