Uh I personally don't use that name because technically a hybrid is uh when two animals from different species interbreed together and create non-viable offspring. Um however that's not the case right here because a wolf and a dog are both the same species.

[00:07:47]So they can actually reproduce as off wolf dogs like two a wolf dog can breed with a wolf or a dog and a wolf dog can breed with another wolf dog. They can all breed with one another. So it's they're actually not technically considered hybrids. Now, some people that that term is so used that I I I I accept it or whatever, but it's not the actual the correct term for it. Uh, and now now people in the wolf dog community have actually re defined that word. And now they say that a wolf dog is actually when a wolf and a dog breed like like reproduce and one of the parents is a wolf. But it's not like if two wolf dogs mate or like a you know wolf dog from se several generations breed together. It's only if a wolf and a dog breed. So, the first generation is considered a hybrid.

Um 90% of wolf dogs that are owned by first-time wolf dog owners are put down before they reach the age of three and they're own by first time wolf dog owners because people get them they don't realize how difficult they are to handle and they end up uh uh giving up on them after about a year or two and they and they end up putting in a shelter and wolf dogs have a 99% euthanization rate when they go in a shelter. If a wolf dog is put in a shelter 99% chance it's euthanized.

[00:19:21]So we rescue them and we educate people about them so that hopefully it doesn't happen and on the side I kind of advocate for people not to hunt wolves and [ __ ] you know.

[00:19:38]Yeah, the white one's a wolf dog. The only ones that the German shepherd is a German. He's a dog. But like Yeah, Ekko's the white one's a wolf dog. So that's Ekko. He's about five or six five or six years old.

[00:19:49]He's what five or six years old, something like that. We got him when he was a year and a half old. Um, he's about 45% wolf.

[00:19:56]Loki and Zeus are just turned a year old. They're 65% wolf. They're about 120 lb, 120 lb. This is Nova. She's 70% wolf. She's 4 years old. She's about 90 lb. She's a little princess, little girl.

[00:20:14]Arctic wolves are the one of the only wolves in the world that don't have no um uh innate fear to humans like all other wolves do because they were never hunted by humans. So they actually don't have like an inherent fear of humans like other like like um like um all the other greywolves in the world do.

Uh yeah, I always every time I ever get any I ever get any cuts, I know that my house has the potential to have bacteria all over all over the place. I do not um I do not uh like slack at all on cleaning it. I every time I get hurt, I literally go to the sink and I wash it with warm water with soap and then I put peroxide on it and then I put alcohol on it and then I put iodine on it. I literally and then I wash it again with warm water and soap. Like I don't mess around. I I clean the [ __ ] out of it every time cuz I'm not going to risk that [ __ ] I don't [ __ ] around.

[00:23:52]Then you got to drain it and [ __ ] and it's a pain in the ass cuz whenever you get bit by dogs it almost always gets infected cuz dog bites are super nasty and every time I get bit by dog I have to like drain it and [ __ ] It sucks right you you know you're not supposed to use you're not supposed to use alcohol either. Um but uh if you right right after the uh the cut happens, right when the cut happens, you can use it um cuz cuz peroxide actually helps to push out um any anything foreign in the uh cut or whatever cuz if you ever notice when you put um peroxide in sometimes all the bubbles will push any like you see like little brown specks pop up sometimes cuz the peroxide will actually like push things out like like little little specks of dirt out there.

[00:24:35]So, it's like I know you're not supposed to use it as much like they they've uh a lot of um uh medical practices and stuff have have have said against it cuz it does kill like good bacteria and stuff, but so like you don't want like I wouldn't want to do it now since I got hurt like yesterday. I would want to do it now cuz all the good stuff all the good cells healing it would kill a lot of them. But like right when it happened it's I feel like it it does more good than harm at the right when it happens to help get anything out of it.

Um >> she had head built in. She was running in the snow. She was running. When you run, you activate the prey drive in animals. She was smaller, so she looked like a more appealing target. Um she was in the snow, so she didn't have very good stabilization stability. And then and she had her earphones in. She couldn't hear creeping up behind her.

[00:50:04]So, what I guarantee what happened was she was running. The prey drive comes in. Doesn't look like a very big, strong, intimidating human. It looks like a smaller person. Runs by, nips at her, and she fell down the back. She's already tired. Whoa. She's already tired. And then, come on. And then, uh, she fell on the ground. That's the last thing you want to do is fall on the ground. Once you're on the ground, you're you're even smaller and you're way more and you're way more of a um uh you're way more of a feeling target. And I guarantee that's what happened right there.
