The video offers a sharp look at how social media algorithms turn cultural friction into viral outrage, though it sometimes confuses the visibility of racism with its actual growth. It effectively captures the modern exhaustion with a digital landscape that profits from constant social division.

Everything is racist now... why?!
Added:Yo, everything is racist now and I hate it and let's talk about it.
To preface this, I'm a white person living in Germany. So, I personally don't experience a lot of racism myself, but I see it every freaking way around me, okay?
Doesn't matter if it's at work, in the news, in like political news, everywhere in the world or on the internet, okay?
It's literally everywhere.
And um let's start with like the political side, right? We have like so many countries and I don't know who started it. I would like to say maybe it was America, but I'm not sure, okay? But we have like so many countries where the politicians now go like, "Oh my god, we don't want people from other countries here. Oh my god." And of course America is a big one and they're in the news a lot, right?
But there's like other countries as well, right? You have like the um was it Ireland where the where they had like a lot of protests very recently because someone got murdered, but obviously a bad thing that happened, right? But people have been getting murdered by other Irish people and no protests happened, right? But the moment someone got murdered by a person that came to Ireland, protests everywhere against like people from somewhere else.
Then of course you have was it Switzerland? I believe it was Switzerland that recently voted if they should like cap um their like population at like 10 million. Um that failed, okay? That failed, um but like they still tried. Um of you of course have Germany um with the freaking Nazi party here, the AFD.
And but our current like ruling party, the CDU is not that much better to be honest, right? It's still miles better than the full racist party, but like our um prime guy ca- chancellor, that's the word. Our chancellor right now, not much better, okay?
Um then of course you have Japan.
Japan has always been a little bit iffy about people from not Japan, right? Cuz it always has been a very secluded country, but now they have like a prime minister who's like very openly against like people from other places.
Um and this like continues to almost like every single place in the world, right?
And I think a big part of this might be because in the like last 10 to 20 years we had like so much globalization and so much um wars in places and people had to flee from these places to go to like other places, which fully understandable, okay? And that these people want to seek a better life somewhere else and don't live in an active war zone, okay? Um while I personally don't think that's a reason to be racist, right? I could halfway understand if that was like one of the reasons while some people now go like enough is enough and stuff like that, right?
So a lot of things has happened while um like globalization probably is the big thing, right? Because back in the day your country was your country and immigrating to another country was like very rare and I'm talking like hundreds of years ago, right? Not like 10 years ago, right? Um but like nowadays going from one place to another is so relatively easy compared to a few hundred years ago um to make like a life somewhere else. You could even like remote work in Germany while living in Japan technically if you have the correct job, right? So there's like all these kinds of factors coming in.
And my god, I just can't deal with the racism anymore, right? Then let's talk social media.
I think the biggest offender is TikTok here. And yeah, some people like TikTok, some don't. I like to scroll there like an hour a day or something, right? Before bed.
And what I've noticed is um while I don't see racist videos per se, um some of the comments, my god, okay?
I saw a big change happening and if you use TikTok, maybe you will realize that as well. Um when TikTok was still in the control of like the Chinese company, everything was fine, right? The comment section, everything was fine. But the moment it forcibly got sold to like the American company, what I've noticed with TikTok is um the first few comments that show up when you open the comment section will always be negative. And this is like this is not even exaggerated. It doesn't matter what kind of video topic you're on.
You open the comments and the first like three or four comments are always negative and have almost like no upvotes, right? And then you scroll down and then all the positive comments come in with like hundreds or thousands of like upvotes {slash} hearts, right? But for some reason, okay, for some reason, it always chooses to show the racist, the homophobe, the bigoted, the bad and negative comments first, right? And my theory is they show you that so you get rage baited and you engage with them so you stay longer on the video on the app, right? And that's probably why, right?
But like still it's such a wild change change, right? Then same on YouTube and basically all social media platforms, right? Cuz people still for the biggest part are like anonymous in social media so they just spelled out all the nonsense, all the nonsense, okay?
And then I just I just I just can't, okay? There's also like casual racism that I experience like daily, right?
Which is weird. Like my family is like came from Poland to Germany. I was born in Germany, right? So I sadly don't speak Polish, but technically I'm like half Polish or whatever.
Um but like you don't really see that on me and I don't speak the language, but like my family does, right? So my family does, that's an important point. They experienced life in Poland and they experienced life in Germany.
So tell me why why half my family is racist? I don't understand. Like it is not like the Nazi kind of racist, it's a casual racism you see everywhere, right? And of course that's bad as well. An example, we have some neighbors from some southern country, okay? I'm not sure if they're like from Turkey or someplace else, right? But somewhere southern.
My sister complains about these people nonstop. And yes, they're louder sometimes, I understand, but like the word she uses, the way she uses to describe them, can we stop, right? And I tried to tell them multiple times. There's also she works in a place where there are a lot of foreigners working and she will complain about these people a lot. And I'm like technically you're a foreigner in this land as well. What are you yapping about? I don't understand what you're saying. Same with like my dad, right?
My dad, um who obviously together with my mom have been the longest here and have lived the longest in Poland and Germany.
Um he is like giga racist against um like the newer immigrants to Germany, right? Like he's like mostly okay with the Turkish people cuz the Turkish people kind of came like in the like same wave to Germany as like workers from other countries like Poland. But like the other people that came here from like wars and the people that seek seek refuge and stuff like that, he hates them. And I'm like, what is happening? I don't understand this, okay? And this is like a phenomenon I see quite often actually where even like people that have like an immigration like background will vote for like racist parties. And I think one of the like biggest thing is people that have like a um Mexican, Spanish, Latina, whatever background voting for Trump or people of color voting for Trump. That's like basically the same thing, right? You're voting for your own demise, which is like I don't understand this, okay? It's weird. So, I don't I don't really understand where this racism is everywhere now comes from.
And maybe it always has been there in humanity, right? And it only got like empowered cuz of globalization, but I don't want to believe that, right? I feel like I want to believe that all in all, people like each other.
Uh, oh gosh. Woo.
Yawn.
>> [snorts] >> And I think that should be the message.
We should strive to like each other. And hey, if you see some casual racism and if you think it's safe for you to intervene or to say something or to leave a comment, maybe do so, okay?
Because we got to fight against it.
Okay, I'll see you.
