This C-Explorer would be used for environmental monitoring at front with the payload section. We have sensor from our partner Altran for conductivity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen, for example. We have the rechargeable battery, which we can remain at sea for weeks, even months. Then the ballast.
So, the ballast is for the variation of the density. The idea with this kind of technology is to be deployed from sea surface. This one is able to goes up to 1,000 m depth, and it will navigate in V, and each V is about 3 to 4 hours where the C-Explorer will collect environmental data for the customer.
