Update on Aunt Julie After Her Fall ️
Added:Good morning everyone. It's day five of Aunt Julie's injury. I'm on my way to the hospital. She actually broke her hip. She had to have surgery on her hip.
And then 2 days after her surgery, she started getting delirious. She still is delirious. Um and she actually got up out of her hospital bed at 3:00 a.m. and fell with her freshly surgical hip. I'm hoping Julie got some rest cuz she didn't sleep all day yesterday.
>> You film my back today?
>> No, ma'am. Not today.
>> One second.
>> Yes, ma'am.
>> Here you go, babe. Have a great day on purpose.
Can >> I get for you? 760. How you doing today, babe?
>> Uh, just a small a small mocha frappe.
>> Small coma frappe.
>> A mocha, please.
>> Mocha. Small mocha frappe.
>> Yes, ma'am.
>> Pull forward, huh?
>> Thanks.
>> That is customer service. Have >> a seat with that.
>> No, thank you.
>> All right, mama. You have a great day.
>> You too. Thank you, darling.
>> You came through the line already.
>> Uh, not today.
>> And your customer service is on point.
>> I love people that are in such a good mood.
>> Her name is Destiny. Destiny from the McDonald's on 8th Street in Jacksonville, Florida. Destiny with two E's at the end. So, McDonald's, anybody in McDonald's sees this, you have a star employee there. Makes me want to cry.
I've been emotional wreck the last couple days, but how refreshing.
Starting the day with some Leonard Skard. I'm going to try There's usually a hot dog cart that sits up here and I have like $120 worth of buns that are going going to go out of date. So, I'm going to see if this hot dog cart is up here and see if they would like these buns.
I haven't been to the gym ever since this happened to Julie, but I got I've been doing some exercises in her room and my legs are so sore from all the squats I was doing. And then I got embarrassed cuz I was in her room and I was doing like squat jumps where you squat and then jump up and I was like out of breath and her nurse walked in.
I'm like, "Hey, she's probably like, "What are you doing in here, lady?"
Just trying to pass the time.
I've got to pee so bad and I have a really long walk. So, let's go.
She is leaving. I am going to go ahead and wake her up. Um they, you know, they say you don't want your sleep cycle to get completely messed up and then they get like the sundowner syndrome. So I'm going to go and wake her up and see how she's mentally doing today. Hopefully better, but we'll see.
>> Hey, how are you?
>> I'm good.
>> I bought you a coffee. I woke up. You did?
>> You want it? Yeah.
>> Turn some lights on. Okay.
Wake up and get up and around.
>> Can I set you up some?
>> How are you feeling today?
>> Good.
>> Do you know what happened? Do you remember what happened?
>> Do you know why you're here?
>> Huh?
>> Do I know the reasoning?
>> Yeah. Of why you're here? Um, >> I think it was a similar or something.
>> You had a little fall.
>> Do you remember falling at the hot dog cart while we were getting set up?
>> Yeah. She is a pleasant. If you have to take care of anyone in life at any time, you want someone like this.
>> Such a pleasant little >> demon.
>> No, not said Lisa stopped by. What all was she up to today?
She was just yummy yummy slime like a bird.
>> Flying like a bird.
>> Care in the world.
>> Not a car in the world.
>> Going to run down there to the cafeteria and get your soup. Do you want anything else? Any milk or >> I don't know. I brought a granny coffee.
Okay. real.
>> We got some soup. We donated to the heart walk and you can win and make a whole rack full of people. So, >> who's that? Angelie.
Who's that?
>> Jaden.
>> Yay. All right, guys. We got Jaden here with us today.
>> We're going to grab some scissors to cut her free.
She said, "We we said we're going to run to the fridge, which is the cafeteria, and she's like, "All right, y'all bring some scissors when you come back so she can cut herself out of her restraints."
We're like, "Okay."
So, story time. After I after her mom had passed away, I had a dream of her the night after she had passed and she was standing right here and I hugged her. She was in a pink mom shirt. And I've been like in between careers on what I want to get my degree in. Well, we look and see where I had my dream at.
>> Well, look at this.
>> It's their job board. RN, RN, RN, RN, RN.
>> Is that how it's freaky, bro?
>> Dude, Jake got her a salad. I'm being a chunky monkey. I've been doing good, though. I'm going to eat me a burger and fries. And I got Julie. She's been craving something sweet. So, it's 900 p.m. Day five. I ran to Walmart to get Bailey some pants for her new job that she starts tomorrow.
Got me and Julie a coffee to share.
It is still Wednesday night. Restless night tonight. She don't like these straps.
Day six.
>> Mhm.
Bless you. Bless you.
Launching down on some good food.
Got some good fried chicken.
>> Their macaroni is bomb. Don't ask me how I know.
>> When was my birthday?
>> January 49.
>> Very good.
>> 1988.
>> Or how old is Bailey?
>> 17.
>> Yeah.
When will she be 18?
>> 109.
>> Improvements are good. Good morning everyone. It is day seven. Uh today is Friday. Uh and Julie fell and broke her hip last Friday.
Um I'm headed to the hospital again.
It's morning time. My hopes are to get there before she has therapy because they're kind of doing the bare minimum on therapy and she really needs to get up and get out of this bed. She's coming around more. She knew yesterday. She knew my birthday and the year. She knew Bailey's birthday. She knew where she was. Still a little in and out, but she knew a lot more yesterday than she has the previous week.
Just went down and got Julie's some broccoli soup and a ginger ale and I splashed soup all over myself. So, we're be sporting the broccoli soup shirt today. So, it's okay. Julie's doing so good today. Very, very happy she's coming back. All right, y'all. So, very good news today. Aunt Julia is doing so much better. Uh, she's mentally there. She can remember everything, which is fabulous. Fabulous. Oh, there's my New York accent, I guess. Um, so now I'm going to go over to Uncle Dah's house to Angelie and Uncle Dah. I'm going to go help Uncle Dah over there with some things and then I'll be back to the hospital in a little bit. So, it's good. Grab us some pizza and let's go see Uncle D. Okay, got us some Domino's pizza. Duh. I'm coming with pizza. Do y'all want a quick sneak peek of our new house? And I just drove right past it. Definitely got to get used to this area. So, we're going to be going from having no neighbors to having neighbors again. There she is.
All righty. It's about 2 o'clock. Just got back to the hospital from Uncle Dah and Julie's house.
Um, went and got Julie's phone for her and stuff. Now that she's awake and coherent and she can be able to chitchat on her phone and call and text people and all that good stuff. And I got lucky enough to get a parking spot in the parking lot. And I didn't have to pay to park in the parking garage again. So that is nice. My breast smells like pizza. So been here a week and just realized they have a Starbucks in here.
Some coffee and a water. Now we're headed back up to All right y'all. Great news. Not only is Angelie doing so much better today, mental clarity. We got the okay to take her downstairs outside and go get some fresh air.
>> Yes.
>> So, we're gonna go outside. I'm breaking her out of here, y'all, for a minute anyways.
>> Oh, wait. What' you say?
>> My YouTube friends.
>> Yes.
>> Let's go.
>> Hey guys. So, it's day nine at the hospital. Angelia is still at Shan's bringing her some ice cream. Jaden's been here with her throughout the first part of the day and I'm here in the afternoon. So, let's go wake her up and give her some ice cream.
>> Today is day nine. Today is June 14th.
And uh hopefully she should either get to go home tomorrow or transferred into inpatient rehab for a week or two. So, how are you feeling?
>> I'm feeling very good. Good.
>> So much better.
>> So much better. So, we'll keep y'all posted. We'll probably get up and walk and sneak and walk a little bit if you want to in here.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. She hasn't been getting physical therapy for like two or three days now.
So, we're going to do our own in here.
>> She's super safe to walk and stuff. Got a walker. So, we're going to go for it.
>> And I'll do my sauce.
Are we counting?
>> Two.
>> Yay.
Julia is doing wonderful and ready to break out of here hopefully tomorrow.
I just went and found a wheelchair so I can break her out for a little bit.
>> Matter which hand we keep on the wall.
>> No, you just want to make You don't even have to have one. You can push from the bed or which hand, but I would never let my patients use the walker at all. I tell them push up from.
>> So, small baby turns.
Okay.
>> Yes, ma'am. We're good.
>> All right. And then we need reach back and feel.
Good morning, y'all. It is day 10 of Angelie being in the hospital. I'm feeling energized and good today because she may get to go home today. Fingers crossed. Um, they were going to send her to rehab, but right now she's spending 99.5% of her day in bed and she could do way better at home. I'll come stay with her.
We need her out of this bed so she can get on the M. All righty, we're here.
Let's go see how she's doing. Both girls are also on the way, so that'll be a nice little surprise for her.
>> Good morning, ladybugs.
>> Good morning, Good.
>> How are we doing this morning, Aunt Gigi Bean?
>> Wonderful.
>> Good. We're waiting on therapy to come by. She might get to go home later, maybe.
footstep. You see that foot thing? Yeah.
You pop that.
>> Yeah, buddy.
>> Be careful.
>> They got busted.
>> Angel's probably going to go home today.
Show us what you got to eat. Jules, what you got today? How that will hurt you.
>> Oh, >> a meatball thing. That looks >> Oh, yeah.
>> Very good.
>> Okay.
>> I used to get that in school.
>> What about me?
>> What do you have over there, little Miss Bailey?
What is that?
>> Broccoli soup.
>> You was never meant to be in this fight.
Good. How do you do that?
>> Make your body like a so good.
>> Give it to your own.
>> I can't.
>> Oh, that was magnificent.
>> I know. Wait. Okay, try it.
>> Okay, cuz I can just do it better.
>> Hey, >> don't make our fall over.
>> Okay.
Straight. Straight. Straight. I don't think I'm flinging hard enough.
>> You're going to feel like you're about to That's when you're straight.
>> Okay.
>> Oh my gosh. See?
All right. Boom.
>> Okay. Okay. Okay.
This ain't fair, y'all. Hold up. This ain't fair.
>> Hey, hey, hey.
>> I probably got Julie's freaking Thanks, guys.
Can't do nothing.
>> Okay, >> hold on. It's getting there.
>> Mhm.
>> No, it ain't. Julie, I see you trying to help me, but >> it's not going nowhere.
>> What? What?
>> Oh my god.
>> What?
>> Something's never changed.
>> So happy.
>> No, no, no, no, no, no.
Waiting patiently for the Okay to leave.
All right, we just got the call. She gets to leave at in a couple hours.
Julie, are you excited?
>> I'm very excited.
>> Definitely good news. The daughter just called me, so we're good. We're going to break her out of here.
>> We're about uh right about an hour for breaking her free.
>> Back up.
>> Back up. It's on a pack, y'all.
Period. Finally, day 10. June 15th. We are breaking her free.
>> Imagine.
>> Oh, well, we can probably put those in your lap.
>> This need this walker.
>> Yeah, I'll you know, I'll have to come back up anyways and bring my walker in the wheelchair.
Unless a nurse comes down with us. I don't know if they have to or not.
>> Um, seems like she said she did, but I don't recall.
>> Love it.
>> God, this seems surreal.
Your chariot awaits, ma'am.
>> Yes.
Kick her out.
That's a lot. Thank you.
A >> I love you. Oh god.
>> Oh my god. I go to sleep that >> Oh my god. Take care.
>> We are headed home. I finally broke our patient out of there and it is time to go. So, are you ready?
>> I am. I'm very ready.
>> It's been a long 10 days, but did good.
She was showing y'all the bruise on her head. Show the bruise up. Yeah.
>> I didn't even realize I hit it when I hit my lip. Yep. No. Well, no, that wasn't from the hip day. That's when you got out of the hospital bed in the middle of the night.
>> Oh, >> yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Not too foul. Do not do that.
>> Right.
>> Right.
