Today here, I'm going to talk and shed [music] some light and insights on sickle cell disease. Some diseases [music] are widely discussed amongst us, but few are rarely or poorly understood [music] by other than the families who have been affected. And one such disease is sickle cell anemia. Today, let's talk about it.

[00:00:32]In order to spread awareness among the public and to become aware of this major public [music] health concern, Sickle Cell Society decided on celebrating June 19th as World Sickle Cell [music] Anemia Day. So that we create and spread awareness amongst the people so that we, with joint [music] efforts, can eliminate this disease from the human race.
