Today here, I'm going to talk and shed [music] some light and insights on sickle cell disease. Some diseases [music] are widely discussed amongst us, but few are rarely or poorly understood [music] by other than the families who have been affected. And one such disease is sickle cell anemia. Today, let's talk about it.
In order to spread awareness among the public and to become aware of this major public [music] health concern, Sickle Cell Society decided on celebrating June 19th as World Sickle Cell [music] Anemia Day. So that we create and spread awareness amongst the people so that we, with joint [music] efforts, can eliminate this disease from the human race.
