[00:00:05][music] I'll be honest with y'all. Today's video is not necessarily one that I had like queued up at the top of like videos that I wanted to bring you anytime in the near future. For those of you who have rocked with the channel for long enough now, you know that I like to be very scheduled with my content. I want to know what we're bringing you, what packs we're opening, how it all gels together, just to be able to bring you the best, most diverse Lorana content possible.

[00:00:28]But given the recent boom and success of what has been going on in the hobby lately, I did figure this would be a good little capsule in time, good chance to do a video like this. I have done a few videos like this in the past where maybe we show like top 10 cards, something like that. I just feel like it's good timestamps of like where the hobby has been, where it is, and where it is going. I mean, honestly, with what we're about to show you today with these specific cards within my collection, honestly, you could tell me 3 6 9 months, a year from now, you could tell me that that these prices are way down, way up, everything in between. Who knows? But that's kind of also part of why I thought this would be fun to do today. So, we're going to be showing you my entire iconic collection. What I plan on doing is showing you each individual card. And then I kind of thought it would be fun to do like a little bit of a little bit of a metag game in it where like I give you a scale of like one, two, and three in terms of like when I got in with this card. Like did I FOMO in? Did I catch it at a good time?

[00:01:18]Somewhere in between. So like one would be something like you know we got it at a good time. Two would be kind of in the middle. And three is like we fomoed in man. What are you going to do? Like I mean the the hobby is booming and we want to be a part of it. So sit back, relax, we'll we'll show you a few cards here. We'll talk about them and we will start out with a card that has been on the channel before. It will be the Hades looking for a deal. This is one of a couple cards that I did get from my LGS.

[00:01:41]I will also call out before I forget to call out each and every one of these cards is in a penny sleeve in a perfect fit penny sleeve. They are out of their of their top well out of their one touches if you will. And uh we are going to just try to be very careful with them today. I am only bold enough to go into the penny sleeve. I I I just I can't take them out of the penny sleeve. I just I don't have the guts to do that.

[00:02:00]Uh but I do know that if we do the if we do the one touches, you get even worse glare than the penny sleeve. So, trying to at least get you as good of a view into these as possible. But anyway, the Hades looking for a deal. Did get this from my LGS. Scale of 1 to three.

[00:02:12]Honestly, like we're going to call it a two just because like the the price that I got in on it for is kind of the price that it is today. At the time that I got in on it, I probably overpaid for it slightly. I forget if I honestly it was so long ago, I forget if I paid or if I we did some sort of either a payment or a trade of of equal value coming in in that like high $100 mark, something like that. But honestly, just super beautiful card. I know that this is like one of the like it's probably out of all the iconics, it's probably like the forgotten iconic in the space, but like all things, especially if this hobby keeps booming, more than likely there will be better days ahead for this card.

[00:02:45]But honestly, each and every one of these cards that I show you, um they're going to be in my collection forever. I I have no intention of selling these. Uh they they they have made their way to me and I ain't letting these things go.

[00:02:55]They're they're going to be with me forever. So, uh, very, very honored and excited to have the Hades in the collection. And we are going to move right along to a card that is making the debut on the channel. It is going to be the Merida Formidable Archer iconic from Wilds Unknown. Now, this one scale one to three, we're going to we're going to also call this one to two. This is the most recent iconic that I have gotten.

[00:03:18]So, like what you are seeing for current prices is around what I got it for.

[00:03:22]Probably just underneath what it's been going for at time of this recording.

[00:03:25]Honestly, if you're catching this recording like 2 weeks, a month, two months into the future, like it is very possible that like prices are nowhere near what they've been at like on this specific date at time of this recording.

[00:03:36]But I mean, probably a couple hundred under what it is now. But in all honesty, with how Lorana is booming right now, pretty much every single card that I'm going to show you, like you unless you buy it like today or like yesterday, um you probably are saying, "Hey, like the the card has gone up."

[00:03:50]That's just kind of the market that we're in right now. But again, you know, goes in waves, goes in cycles. And uh again, I I don't usually like to think of it when it comes to when it comes to cards that are part of my PC like the Iconics. Like it is a very very important goal of mine to have, you know, all the Iconics ideally. We'll see if we get there one day. But no, absolutely beautiful to to see this card. Uh I I don't know what the foiling is on it. Like it's it's I don't know what we're calling it. I'm going to call it the metallic foiling. I might be totally butchering that. I'm sure there's a better name for it, but like the metallic foiling that you see like on the Merida, it's absolutely beautiful. as well as that like stained glass effect that you have going on behind her. It's just absolutely fantastic. Artist nailed it. Knocked it out of the park with this card. Honored to have it in the collection. Moving right along into the Moana Curious Explorer. I I believe this card I'm going to say I got this card probably a month ago. So, I mean, I guess on a scale of 1 to three, again, we're going to call it a two just because the card's raised in price. I mean, again, every card is raised in price, right? So, it's kind of like it's one of those things where it's kind of like, you know, who who knows like where where that's all going to end up. But absolutely beautiful card. Um, you know, it is interesting when I look at when I think about this card. What's very interesting with this card, especially like with what we're seeing right now with like Wilds Unknown cards, think about like the Buzz Jungle Ranger. You think about the You Got a Friend in Me alien, like a darling card of of of the set that everybody loves. Absolutely phenomenal art. With what is going on with Toy Story 5, I'll even throw Jesse in the mix. She's absolutely booming in price at the time of this recording. It is going to be very interesting to see.

[00:05:23]Again, doesn't really doesn't really matter, right? Like again, like the the card's stay at home right here, but it will be interesting just in general with this card to see if the card goes up in price at all when we do have the live action of Moana coming out. I think that's in July 10th. Time of this recording, we're like a month prior to that, something like that. So, it'll be interesting to see if we get any, you know, any type of uptick with, you know, with anything like that. And who knows, like with Toy Story 5 out, like it it's very possible that just like Toy Story fans are coming in the hobby. It's hyped. Maybe even if Toy Story 5 wasn't coming out, the the Toy Story cards would still be booming, right? Like, who knows? Like, it's just it's going to be interesting to find these things out as we continue on within the hobby. But super honored to have Moana. Um, as I am honored to have all these cards. I'm probably going to sound like a broken record, but truly it is it is, you know, very very blessed to be able to uh to be able to to have these cards. Moving down the list and we are going to go into the aerial ethereal voice. You can pull this girl from Whispers in the Well, very very very special card here because this is uh I believe the only iconic that uh I was able to pull and I was able to pull it on the channel for y'all. And I think that video is hiding somewhere, you know, in the archives. And that video is something like I think I tagged it like my greatest pull ever. And honestly, like when I think about my greatest memories in the hobby, I think about like my all-time pulls in the hobby. It's a short list. I mean, there's really two pulls and she's one of them. Uh, the other one which is a video or a story that I've told many times, the Elsa spirit of winter first ever enchanted that I pulled and shout out somebody. I I made sure I wanted to make sure to shout somebody out in the Discord. You know who you are. Shout out you. I believe they put it in weekly polls. Go in there if you want to see it. It's probably up the it's probably up the up the like chat at this point now. But they actually opened up first chapter which is like that's a bold play. Like you like you got guts. Like and and I I respect that. I absolutely respect that. I'll tell you what, uh, first chapter in in Whisper or first chapter in Fabled, it takes guts to open that kind of stuff up right now. And and this person actually ended up pulling Elsa Spirit of Winter and I felt that I felt that in my bones just because of how special that kind of a pull would be. So anyway, shout out you. Um, but no, very special to hold this card and uh, you know, obviously very special to have pulled this card. I mean, I know you can say it on paper where it's like, hey, Iconics are like one in 2000, something like that. And it's like, yeah, you know, you rip long enough, you're going to pull one. We rip a lot on this channel and uh and we have uh we have only pulled one and so hopefully we can make more memories for y'all going forward with uh with maybe some more iconic pulls. But glad to say that we were at least able to to feel it inside of us to be able to pull one iconic rare. Very special there with the Ariel.

[00:07:58]And now we are taking quite a big move up the list and we will have a debut of another card on the channel. Minnie Mouse Sweetheart Princess. Um, I do want to call out with the aerial because I didn't call it out with the one to three scale. Uh, the scale is obviously one because we pulled it, right? But anyway, the the scale with mini, uh, this is a three. This is a hard three. And, uh, you know what's interesting with this card is like this will be the card that I will say that I FOMOed in the most on.

[00:08:24]Like this card, man. Like I I mean, and and look, I'm sure you're hearing this right now and especially if you've been in the hobby for long enough now, you probably are like, "Gh, like these things were available, man. They were they were there for us at $8, $900. They were there. Imagine getting like a Hades looking for a deal. But it's not Hades.

[00:08:41]It's mini. Like that. That's what you had in front of you just a few months ago in this hobby. But no, the mini the mini sweetheart princess. Look, I I I'll I'll put it to you like this. I bought it I bought it about 3 weeks to a month ago. Like I I I it's one of those feelings and and y'all know what I'm talking about with this, but I was I had a conversation with my wife about it where it's like, you know, Lorana is just absolutely booming right now. And I will say this was before sort of that second big boom with like Wild's unknown like you know the buzz and stuff like that. Like it it was before these last couple of weeks where we've been really seeing the hobby go to an entirely different place. But I remember you know saying to myself like it is very very possible that this card could get out of reach for me. [music] And that's a dangerous thought to have, right?

[00:09:23]Because at the same time, right, that is kind of the origin of of how FOMO happens, right? But truly, with how with how exciting the hobby was at the time, I mean, I was just like, man, I I I I feel like if this goes any further, it's going to just get out of reach. And y'all know what I'm talking about when it comes to something like that. But uh but no, I mean I it was kind of one of those decisions that I said to myself like I you know I know that uh I know like if it ends up getting cut in half something like that we'll live with it because again I I just I I it meant it meant a lot to me to be able to say that I could have the two original iconics from Fabled. Very very important to have that. And uh yeah these things are just getting harder to find. But uh I will say a lot of folks do say that the mini is the like the more beautiful of the two, the better uh the better aesthetic, the better look, the better feel. And um you know, honestly, I I I'm I'm blessed to be able to hold, you know, either of those cards. But I will say I do understand where you're coming from with it. It it it really does pop. The gold behind her really does pop big time. So super excited to uh to have Minnie and have her in the collection. And now we move into Minnie's uh Minnie's counterpart here, Minnie's Love. Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Prince. We have seen this card on the channel before. Um go this this card's this card's probably my biggest one out of three, right? This uh this card I got at a pretty good deal. And again, just timing wise, like you can kind of backtrack and say to yourself, "Oh, he he got the mini a few weeks like a month ago. Probably not good." The Mickey Mouse I probably got about 3 weeks to a month into Fabled coming out, right? the set actually be being released. So, you're talking about like last October. So, yes, like this one, this one is probably if Mini is like a hard three. Mickey is probably a hard one. But, uh, no, this would be the second one that I was able to purchase at at my LGS. My wife actually surprised me with this card, which is uh which was super cool of her. Super exciting. Uh, I I don't think she'll mind that she that I share this story. she was gonna at the time she got it in like October and she was gonna try to like hold off until Christmas but she I just I can read her too well and so she you know she she was she was never going to be able to keep that secret. So like she came she came back home at like you know for whenever and I could just kind of tell something was you know weird or whatever and and she just was like I I can't I'm not going to be able to keep this secret. So she surprised me with this which was very very nice of her and uh very grateful for her for that. But yeah honored to hold Mickey honored to hold Minnie in my hands.

[00:11:43]And with that, the video is not done yet because we do have one more card. Uh, and that last card is going to be the uh the absolutely insane Buzz Lightyear Jungle Ranger. The uh the card that has taken the entire hobby by absolute storm right now. Um, yeah, like I I I will I will call out and it's hard to see it.

[00:12:03]It's really hard to see it in the camera, but what I will call out here with the Buzz versus the Merida, very interesting here. Like again, like each one of those iconics has like that like that metallic foiling on it, right? Like kind of gives it a little something extra, right? Like that the enchantments don't have. What I will call out with the buzz and I do think a big part of the Delta with the buzz and the Mirida just comes from the IP, man. I mean, Toy Story is just so goated like I mean you have probably so many people being like it's the the nostalgia is hitting them so hard with this card and totally understand that. I will say the metallic features that they were able to do with Buzz versus Mirida. And some of this is artbased. So like both arts absolutely S tier. I remember watching the lore cast with Mirida. We all saw it like they showed that like that digital copy of the card and the Mirida with the stained glass in the background just looked absolutely fantastic. Um, what I will say with the Buzz is again like it's hard to see it here, but really what they do with the metallic on like they they use the the vines as the metallic or whatever it is like that matted finish. It has a very unique pop to it.

[00:13:05]So I I I again I I realize that the buzz buzz is probably just always going to moon. That's probably always the way it was going to go. But I I I will say I do think like I do think some of it is justified. really think that this card is an absolute like they're all a privilege to hold, but man, this card is just absolutely incredible. Um, I will before I forget to say it, I will call out like this one's probably going to end up being a one as well. Not much of a one as Mickey, but I will say it was a very similar kind of similar kind of story with Minnie where I like a week after the set released, I you know, again, I kind of made that decision. I was just kind of like we're buying it.

[00:13:38]if it goes from like whatever it was like high teens down to like get getting cut in half. We'll live with it because I can't not have this card. You know, I'm I'm that type of generation where it's like I was a kid when Toy Story came out. I wasn't going to miss out on this card. I, you know, at the time I kind of was like, I'm overpaying. I know I am, but we're getting the card. That's what we're doing. We're going to find the cleanest copy we can. Let's overpay for this bad boy and let's just keep it rolling. And uh yeah, little did we know that uh that that that the hobby would uh do what it's been doing in the past uh in the past few months. But no, incredibly uh I know I said it before, but I'll say it again. Incredibly, incredibly blessed to hold each and every one of these cards. And the last call out that I'll make, and this was sort of that Easter egg foreshadowing that I was explaining to you'all on the channel, was like, I got to keep opening Winter Spell. That will be made clear later on. And after you look at these cards, we do have seven out of the eight iconics. The the last one that I need is the Pocahontas. And uh and and I mean, just I don't know, man. With with the way things have been going, I just I don't know that I can pull the trigger on it right now, the way that it's the way it's going. But you know what? We will come back to the table, open more winter spell, and we will rip for Pocahontas or at a minimum Moana so that we can sell Moana and get Pocahontas and complete this set. But um incredibly honored to be able to be as far along as as we are in the journey for our iconics. And yeah, hopefully more fun iconic stories to come on the channel and also more iconic polls on the channel as well. All right, y'all.
