[00:00:00]I remember the, uh, Blackhawks coming in. Army did all our, uh, medevacs and stuff, so >> Cool.

[00:00:06]>> Yeah, the Dustoff comes in and, um, they load me up and after that it's kind of touch and go for me. I don't remember a whole lot, but I do remember landing back at the first echelon of care. It was a FOB Dwyer is what it was called.

[00:00:22]Um, and it might have been like a, uh, what do you call it, shank or whatever?

[00:00:26]It might have been like that, like a medium-size sort of >> It's still a FOB, but it's like >> Yeah, it's a bigger, but not huge.

[00:00:32]>> people there. It's not It's not like 20, 50, 100,000 soldiers.

[00:00:36]>> So, they start your care there and then fly you out of the country?

[00:00:38]>> Yeah, so I I remember landing there and then trying to claw like I couldn't see, you know, like my face like I still had this eye, but it it it had took shrapnel directly, so it was the eyeball was actually like cut in half. Um, yeah. And, you know, let me know if I need to stop.

[00:00:58]>> Oh, you're good.

[00:00:59]>> And, uh, so I remember just like clawing at my face trying to like see cuz I didn't know what was going on and they're like, "Brother, just chill out." Um, and they ended up putting me in like a a coma, a medically induced coma.
