Unexpected Visitor After Dark
Added:Ella looked a little anxious. I can tell why. I looked up and look what was above my head.
That thing is massive. Look at that. I cooking that. Go.
Hey everyone, welcome back to Catching Up with the Walkers. Thank you so much for stopping by and joining us today.
Uh, this video is sponsored by Limo. You want like a really, really quick sneak peek? Oh, there it is. But I'll tell you more about that in a little bit. But we've had several people ask about your tree, Cassie. What kind of tree did you get?
>> A magnolia tree that I've wanted for how long we've been married.
>> Since 2008. It's been 18 years. That's how long I've wanted the tree because it was that summer when I first not first saw one, but it caught my attention.
>> All right. Well, let's give them a quick update on it and uh in all of its beauty right now. Well, if they missed the video when we planted this tree, it is right here kind of in front of the house. Uh Cassie can definitely sit on the porch and see it. But >> it was my mother's day present and it's already had a few pretty blooms and then new blooms are starting to happen. But seems to be doing well.
>> So here's one of them. Whenever they bloom out, they're bright white, aren't they?
>> Big white flowers.
>> Big white flowers. But you have to look at them the day they bloom out because if not, >> you miss them. They're gone just about as fast as they come. So that's our tree though. I think it's doing awesome. I I was what what caught my attention is the big how big and beautiful they get, but they're waxy leaves. I really like these green waxy leaves and then the flowers when Gary did the uh um remember the removal bicycle ride from Georgia to Oklahoma. I that's when I saw several of these at different um historical places that we stopped at. They were big and beautiful and I was like I need to know what kind of tree that is and I want one.
>> Well, it should do good here. here. I think about 30 ft tall is how high it was supposed to get. 30 to 50. So, we just got a lot of growing to do. Uh that >> I may not ever see it in its full glory.
>> Well, just a little bit of an update on the farm and off the farm. Uh and the farmhouse, too. So, our dryer was supposed to be fixed this week, but guess what?
>> Next week, >> the part that they ordered based off of what I told them. Good thing Gary knows what he's talking about because if he didn't, these people are like, "Well, we ordered the part that you said you needed." And Gary's like, "Well, what if I wasn't right?"
>> Yeah.
>> They never came out.
>> So, they ordered the part. Um, but it's not here just yet. So, we are still without a dryer. So, probably while after we finish recording this video, >> we'll go to the laundry mat and I will edit this video while I'm doing laundry because, you know, we might as well kill two birds with one stone. But, uh, Bella has been getting brushed this morning, and now she thinks she needs more attention. Does she feel >> fluffy? Yeah, >> fluffy. I have decided that that will be my last long-haired dog ever. The amount of maintenance that she requires with her hair is a little bit much for me. I like farm dogs that, like Shelby, just are self-maintained on their hair, more or less. But, you know, >> they both need to go to groomers, though, and get their summer cuts. Yeah, we need to get a uh an appointment made.
But real quick, look at the garden.
Don't look at it too hard for too long because it needs to be tilled. And that's what I'm going to do later on in this video. So, it's been too wet, but it finally got dry enough that I can get in here. We'll take a quick look, though. Again, like I said, just don't look >> tomatoes on any of the plants.
>> Too long for too hard. No tomatoes, huh?
Well, >> well, >> there's blooms, >> I guess, down there by the There's some down here by the ground.
>> Yeah, there's some down in the ground.
Uh there's some blooms, but I also need to put some fertilizer on them so they can get some extra nutrients. So, show me that one. What you got?
That's a pretty one. How's it taste?
Not good, apparently.
Oh my.
Look at this one. Oh, actually that's not too big. I thought it was going to be too big. Okay. So, >> queso. Oh, >> I thought that was on the vine and I had knocked it off my hand. I think it had been laying on the ground.
>> Oh, that might have been a not good.
>> It's rotten.
>> Rotten tomato.
>> There's another rotten tomato.
>> Rotten tomato. Ransom. Are you a rotten tomato?
>> No.
>> You want a cucumber?
All right. Ransom don't really like cucumbers.
>> I need a drink.
>> I've got some a bunch that need to be picked, though. So I I'll pick with the I'll pick these in just a little bit when I get out here to till. You know how to run the tiller ransom?
You would like to, wouldn't you?
>> Yeah.
>> Also, the corn is looking really, really good. And uh we need to protect the corn from somebody. Somebody came up on the porch. Uh and this is an animal that could definitely eat our corn. Uh stick around. I'm going to show you who that was. probably got me the surprise of the week. The second surprise of the week was Ransom this morning. Who surprised you?
>> You ransom just woke up. He was half awake and I I stepped right around the corner and just stood there with my coffee and stared. And when he walked around the corner, he screamed.
It was hilarious. All right, that we had >> wasn't really that kind of a scream.
>> No, it wasn't. There was some weird some weird noise like >> I want like >> Well, I want to show you this the >> uh encounter I had yesterday later on.
It was quite the encounter. So, Cassie and I will be leaving town soon.
>> Yep.
>> We are heading to >> We're leaving these children behind.
>> We're going to Brokenbo, Oklahoma.
>> I've actually never been there. Have you?
>> I've never been that I remember. We're going to go to >> We've traveled the whole United States, but we've never been to Broken Bow, Oklahoma, where 90% of Oklahomaans go.
>> Probably have been there. So, we're going to go to Reeba's place though down in A tooka. And then we're going to go over to uh to Broken Bow and stay down there for a day to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. Ransom 18 years.
Our marriage is finally an adult. It has moved from a childhood to a adult. Also in other news, Ranger changed the oil on this pickup for the very first time.
>> Jacob Jones will be happy about that.
>> Yep, Jacob will. Jacob, I didn't have to do the maintenance. Ranger did it. I kind of walked him through it, but he did it. Uh, I need as much help as I can get on the farm. Help from Cassie, help from Ransom, help from Ranger. But right now, we got a little bit more help. I'll go ahead and tell you about that and then we'll start uh taking care of the animals.
>> You guys know we have plenty to do on the farm to keep us busy. the garden, putting up new fence, and doing everything in between for the animals keeps us on our toes. It never hurts to have a little bit of help around. And today, we have the help we need with Limo.
So, Limo is the robotic lawn mower that actually mows. Today we're going to put it to the test. But this is the very first time I got a robotic lawn mower out of the box, turned it over, and seen real heavyduty blades. The Limo OnePlus also features a unique track system. It can tackle any terrain up to 45°. That's 100% grade without stopping or slowing down. And that's what really makes Limo different to me. The rugged tracks make it possible to go over to rains that other robotic lawnmowers won't. So Limo's finishing up that job right over there. But I just moved our little cargo trailer. And where it was at before, we have grass that's probably about 8 to 10 in tall, maybe 12 in spots. Thick clover, different varieties of grass. So I already set up a job over here for Limo to mow. I did a no-go zone for this area right here where we have a few tools and some posts. So, we'll see what Limo does when it gets to the tall grass. Limo OnePlus features 16in cutting width and 6,000 RPM high-speed blades that deliver nine times more efficient mowing than tiny razor blades.
Limo is built with a reinforced aluminum alloy frame and a 2000 cycle life PO4 battery. The OnePlus is designed for efficient, heavyduty mowing on large and complex lawns.
Right where the trailer's sitting, it's not any problem at all.
And one thing I really love is the app.
I can look at any moment and see exactly where Limo's at. You can see the no-go zone is right there in orange. It's already went around that as it continues to work. I know where it's at. Limo is able to navigate around all the obstacles so easy with RTK plus VSLAM.
that ensures that it can go around buildings, houses, trailers, any obstacle without any problem. And with AI vision obstacle detection, Limo is going to sense it and go around.
Well, you guys remember the before and now the after. Limo did an awesome job.
just finished up >> charging started.
>> So, if you guys are interested, you can select the link down in my description below. You can get the price and all the details for the Limo One Plus, the robotic lawn mower that actually mows.
Well, if you saw our last video at Walker Farm Fam, you know we have an unsolved mystery. Cassie, is there any news about that? Any update?
>> I think the white duck has been gone longer than we thought. all this time. I thought she was just hiding and laying somewhere and it's really hard to find them. But I can't find her nowhere and I haven't known a duck to fly over the fence.
>> Actually, the runner ducks don't even really fly. So, I have no clue. But we looked everywhere and we can't find her.
If she shows up one day, I would not be surprised. But I'm starting to think the baby duck that Zena had, one of these had hatched and it was the only one. And that's why we don't see anymore. And then they abandoned the nest probably.
I look at your uh weather and your ram kind of >> kind of acting the part for a second there.
>> Ransom, are you excited about going to the movies tonight?
>> Yeah.
>> Want to tell them what we're going to go see?
>> Toy Story 5.
>> Toy Story 5.
>> How can a A movie is so great they were able to make five of them?
>> I don't know. Walker Farm Fam has over,200 videos. I saw that yesterday.
If numbers mean good things, that that says something. I don't know about that, though. That's probably a bad correlation. But we are going to go see Toy Story 5. Uh it's one of those movies, series, I guess, that we're just going to keep going to because Cassie and I were, I think, probably kids.
>> You got a friend in me.
You got a friend in me.
>> And we all remember Buzz and Woody. So, what year do you think it came out? I'll look it up. I'll look it up for you guys.
>> 2018.
>> I think it came out in 1996.
>> Really?
>> You think we were that little?
>> Maybe 98.
>> I thought I was probably a teenager.
>> Probably was a teenager, but that's my guess. 98. What's your guess?
>> My my guess >> because Gregory had all the Woody's like dolls and toys and stuff. I never had things like that. So, I would think I'd have to at least been a teenager in college.
>> Okay. So, make a guess.
>> 2005 to 200.
>> No, no, no, no. A year. I'm going to change mine to 2001. Now, Cassie's convinced me.
>> I could be wrong, but >> Okay, you guess.
>> I had a Woody Woodpecker doll growing up. Not a Woody a guy.
Um, where am I going >> to the cows? But got to give a guess first.
cows.
>> I'm trying to think.
>> It's like pulling teeth.
>> High school or college.
>> Just pick >> I'm going to say I keep thinking 2005.
>> Okay. I said 2001 2005. Ranson, you want in on this?
>> I'm guessing 2008.
>> All right, let's look it up.
>> I just poor. My family never showed it to me until I was old enough to.
>> I have no idea what I said the first time. What did I say the first time?
>> Like 96. 1995 was the release date. Yes, I knew whenever I was a kid.
>> Okay. So, we were 11 years old.
>> Yes, we were 11 years old. 1995 was the original Toy Story release date.
>> Man, I didn't I don't feel like it was that long ago, but okay.
>> And that's I thought the Toyota pizza wagon was the coolest truck ever made.
Ransom in that original movie.
>> I was 11. So, let's say what Mazi is going to be 13. So, we're about fifth or sixth grade.
>> Yeah. Yeah. So, it makes sense why we didn't like buy all the toys and stuff probably.
>> Yeah. We were a little older, but why don't you go that way a little bit? We were a little older, but it was a good enough time that I remember it. So, the cows are a little unsure of themselves right now.
>> Probably cuz I'm driving weird cuz I don't know where to go.
>> That's good.
They're all coming up though slowly.
Hey, girls. Hi.
>> Hi, baby. Hey.
>> I know it's an odd time, but guess what?
We're going to feed you. Okay.
So, we're feeding them around noon today, but tomorrow they're going to be real confused. When I feed them at like 8:00 in the morning or 7:00 in the morning, so we'll move it up a little slower. Then we get back from our trip.
We'll put it back to the original time.
Watch out, Heer. And I need to separate these heers soon. I'm going to wean them uh before we sell do any selling. So, we'll go ahead and get out of here. Hey, Big Jake.
So, that I think was a really good time for movies because guess what came out in 1994.
>> No clue cuz I don't even know. I didn't even realize that.
>> Lion King.
>> Oh, okay.
>> So, the original Lion King came out in '94. Toy Story came out in '95. It was Pixar. They were doing some really cool stuff with animation that hadn't been seen before.
>> So, Gregory was born in >> Gregory is our nephew. Uh, I was a freshman in college, so 2003, 2004.
>> So, I bet that's probably when the second one probably came out.
>> Probably Toy Story 2.
>> Um, and somewhere in that time frame when he was a toddler or something.
>> Yeah.
>> But the movies were so good, you watched all of them.
>> Yeah. So, anyway, that is coming out uh right now. And so, our family's going to go >> Yeah.
>> go see it.
>> The weekend it came out.
>> It's one of those deals, though. High expectations for especially by the fifth time unless it's like you know something I'm just really into is very low.
>> I saw a review from a parent.
>> Yeah.
>> You want to know what the review was?
>> What?
>> They stayed awake.
>> They stayed awake >> and and they said you're going to think that that >> go to the left just a little bit.
>> It was a good review. But they said >> that's good.
>> Oh, it was also a tired teacher, I think. And so she was saying like school's out. It's summertime. you're tired, you're a teacher. And so for a tired teacher to stay awake in a children's movie, that's a big deal. And she said she stayed awake and watched the whole thing because she and people were caught and they're like, "Oh yeah, I get it. I fall I see the first five minutes and the last five minutes usually."
>> Well, when you hit those red recliners and you're a tired adult and it's a kids movie, sometimes it's hard to stay awake, but that's okay because you guys are enjoying it, right?
>> Is that Bella all over your knees?
>> Me?
>> Yeah.
>> Yes. I trying to figure out why you had such hairy knees.
>> Cassie's wondering why my knees are growing hair. That would be the hairy dog I'm talking about. I spent 20 minutes brushing her while ago and she had lots and lots of hair.
>> If you had a wire, you wouldn't have to worry about >> Yeah, that's true. If I had a short-haired border collie, I wouldn't have to worry about it either. But I don't. Oh man, they already ate all that ransom. They ate it all. All right, we're going to give them some more grain. Well, there's 150 lbs for the cows. And I want to do a quick check on the uh mineral tub. So, fly control. You might have saw a few flies on the cows, but guess what?
This is uh fly control inside that.
This is fly control right here. That's the garlic salt. And that is fly control right there. Between the three of them, it helps, but there is no foolproof fly control, unfortunately. Although, I would love for there to be. I'm going to move this out of the way. See how it stays in one area? It kind of kills the ground.
But God bless you, Cassie.
>> I need some tissues.
>> Heard that sneeze.
>> Ransom, did you see that truck slow down? I think they were checking out our lawn mower, don't you? So, we get some odd looks, but you can see Limo is right down there mowing right next to the road and we'll be going all the way back to the house all through here. And looks like doing a great job.
So, we're going to get some water for the cows. Fill up the stock tank and go ahead and get some water for the chickens out of the well.
Oh, I'd say the water is about full.
Get just enough out for the chickens.
Uh, get some nice fresh cold water. Are you going to turn it off, Ransom? Okay.
Look at that fence.
Did you look down it to see how straight it was?
>> I saw your video of it, too.
>> Oh, yeah. I did a little video, Ransom.
It's a really straight fence. That's what I really like.
But >> I built >> and tight.
>> I built that one and that one. And if you look down those, they're very straight, too. They just added wire over it.
>> Builds a good fence. He just always doesn't like building a good fence.
Really? The barbed wire. I don't mind completely.
>> Guess who gets to go to the movies tonight because they don't have to build a fence.
>> Me.
I don't have to mow because >> Oh, wait. Chickens.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Chickens. I don't have to mow and I don't have to build fence.
So, I get to spend more time with my family, which I think in the big picture is pretty much priceless.
We're going to call this way too early egg guesses. So, with the knowledge that we have knowing it's noon and not 4:00, what's your guess, Cassie?
>> I say three is overreaching.
>> Ransom, what's your guess?
>> Four.
>> I'm going to go with five.
>> Really?
>> Oh, yeah. Five. Uh, yeah. Six. I'll go six.
>> I'll go five.
>> Okay.
Two.
>> Dang it.
>> Three. Four.
>> Did you get them all last night? What time did you feed last night?
>> The normal time. I don't know. around 4:30 or 5:00.
>> Somebody could have laid some right before bed.
>> All right, we got four.
Hey, they make the chicken music in the morning sometimes. Come on. Two eggs.
Come on.
>> I win. I win.
>> Zero.
One.
Five.
>> You said five.
>> Yeah.
>> We're catchy.
>> Darn. Two dropped and we have three.
>> All right. Ransom's the winner winner.
Chicken dinner today. All right. For your for your gift, your award, I'm going to take you to the movies.
>> I might even buy you popcorn. All right.
>> A big bag.
>> Well, that the big bag will take a second mortgage on our home.
>> Yeah.
>> No. Movie hack. Uh >> oh.
>> Buy the large and ask for uh containers for your kids. Most places will either give you like a plastic nacho looking container that you can fill up for them or they'll give you like small white cardboard boxes or cheap bags or something. But usually the large is uh refillable. So they'll give you little containers to give it to your kids. And you ain't got to buy $50 in popcorn.
>> There you go. Don't buy everybody a large popcorn and a large drink.
>> Buy everyone even a small. Yeah.
>> Get the little containers and fill it up.
>> All right. You want to drop those in?
>> We've done the We've done the kids packs >> because it comes with a little drink and their little popcorn and a little snack, but the kids have gotten to where that's not enough. So, doing the other is way easier. And then getting them a drink.
>> Yeah. Buy big and divide.
>> Do you want to do egg toss with >> that helps, but it's still expensive.
>> Yeah. You want to do an egg toss? Not a pretty one.
>> Okay.
>> Is there an ugly one?
All right, Ransom, to do the egg toss properly, you would do one that's kind of dirty, but luckily today they're all clean. Go ahead and go with that one.
>> Okay. What is the egg toss?
>> Shaking this one up first.
>> Okay. We're going to have scrambled eggs here. What's the egg toss, Cassie?
>> Take Stop.
>> You take a step back every time. We're trying to win, not pop it on each other.
>> Take a step back every time.
hand eye coordination.
>> Step, son.
>> Big step back.
>> I'm so scared.
>> Step back.
>> I did a break. You know why I so quickly said yes?
>> Why?
>> One, I'm confident in my throwing and catching abilities. Two, they're farm eggs and they don't break easy.
>> We'll quit while we're ahead.
>> Come on.
>> Oh, you're going to go until it breaks.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
>> It's working on me.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, it hit his hand.
>> Going to break. It's a farm fresh egg.
>> Okay. They won't break. Mom says, >> "Yeah, >> they dropped them several times. They never broke."
>> These eggs are legit. Especially since the chickens >> walking forward.
>> Especially since these chickens have been grazing the grass.
>> Don't catch that. It'll hurt.
>> Get it.
>> He didn't.
>> All right. All right.
>> One more. One more.
>> No. If it didn't break, let's put it up.
That's a sign we need to keep it.
>> How in the world does that not break?
And sometimes I'll put two eggs together on accident and they'll and it'll break.
>> I could tell that was a good hard shell.
>> All right.
>> This one right here.
>> Yeah.
>> That has some blemishes.
>> Yeah.
>> It probably would have broke.
>> Well, >> you want to do it?
>> No, we don't want to do it. We're going to keep it. It was hilarious because at school it was a pep assembly and I brought them from home and I said go till it breaks. At first I wasn't even thinking and kids kept missing them and they wasn't breaking and I and so I should have said if you miss you're out but was it Ranger and Micah together?
>> Yeah, >> they got way far away from each other and then it finally did break. So >> it was funny.
>> Fun game.
>> Some of the other kids though that had some of those that weren't as thick, they broke.
store-bought eggs would break in about 2 seconds. I promise you that. If >> you're going to play the game and you actually want people to get yolk all over them, buy them from the store.
>> Yeah, because when they sit there and eat grain all day, their shells are paper thin. We got the side by side hooked up to the growout pin. You guys know what that means? We're going to be moving them. I think we're going to move them down one length and then over one length because we don't want to go towards the front yard anymore. We want to stay more on the back. All right, whenever you're ready.
So, I just get in here and keep them just on that side.
You can see where their feed bucket was setting. But they really do a good job in here.
Turkeys are getting really big.
Cassie thinks that bigger one's a tom and the smaller one's a hen.
Go on, girls and boys. That's a rooster for sure right there. We've heard him crow multiple times.
And you see when we move it, it does tear up the lawn a little bit, but that is mainly just uh knocking down the high spots. All right.
>> The other way now.
>> Uh a little more. Go ahead and pull it towards you.
That go.
You're good.
A little bit more.
That worked.
All right. So, that gives them brand new grass.
And uh Whoops.
Get Cassie unhooked out or >> No, you're good. I just got to get you unhooked.
Okay, now go in.
That's good. All right, we get feeding the water back in here. Go ahead and clean their water out.
So, the chickens and turkeys are loving this.
Even your rooster, Cassie.
All right, Cassie's going to clean out the ducks water and the sheep water and make sure they're good. and Ransom and I are going to go feed the sheep. So, the donkeys will be coming up in a second. Cassie uh picked the name, but she got We told it on the last video, didn't we? Ransom, do you remember?
>> Crystal Gale.
>> Crystal Gale. Good job. I didn't think you would remember. Good job, buddy.
>> No, not you.
here. Go ahead and spread another one out over here cuz for some reason Benjamin's not bothering her, which is good. I'm surprised though.
All right.
All right. You going to finish them?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. I'm going to get Zena. Zena, come.
>> All around it.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Bees on. So, I fed the ducks, fed Brandon, but Miss Reeba is right over here sitting on that nest. She's got about 15 eggs, 14 or 15 eggs she's sitting on.
You going to go check her out?
>> Brandon, don't act like a dingdong.
So, what I did is take my hat off and hold it high up in the air and wave it around a little bit.
>> She's back on.
>> She's back on.
>> Yeah.
>> Zena likes her eggs over easy, so we give her an egg or two on top of her food. And the water's just about full.
So, I'm going to wait. And we only fill it up halfway. That keeps the ducks from coming into it. Try to fill that one up all the way.
Carrie Underwood.
>> Crystal Gale.
Cassie, you want to tell everybody why you picked Crystal Gale?
Oh, you know, I only got about 47 and emails about it.
>> Well, we asked for it. So, uh if you you know what this they say, if you ask, you shall receive. We asked.
We received. And uh >> I would say Mini Pearl and Crystal Gale was the top by far.
And Cassie Cassie like crystal gale the best out of those. So maybe the next one will be mini pearl.
>> Pearl.
>> I'd like to keep something like mini pearl. But >> okay.
>> Cassie says if we keep one, we might name it mini pearl. So on the last video we took uh Crystal Gale and uh put a little rope halter on her. I didn't quite get her caught this time, so that's okay. We'll get her next time.
I don't want to stress her out too much.
And Cassie's cleaning rocks out of feed over here.
>> Yeah, I texted the frier for see when he can come back.
>> So frier should be coming, but in the meantime, just doing a little feet cleaning maintenance. All the rain we've got kind of has made it in a worse situation than normal, but that's life.
Just keep an eye on everything.
I'd like to catch this one right here.
>> Loretta.
>> No.
>> Ella Langley.
She's a little bit harder to catch, mainly because she's a little bit older, but she does like feed, so that's a good motivator.
right now. I just put on mom. Hey, Ella.
>> Belly getting bigger.
>> I ain't going to start that. I already told them I am not going on donkey watch until I see another baby coming.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Yeah. That ain't She is a long ways off.
So, we should have multiple more bread, but it's going to be a long time. I'd say fall at the earliest. So, Carrie's pretty brave though. She's trying to eat with >> We got Carrie in October, right? And she has was exposed, but not 100%.
>> Yeah.
>> So, she was exposed to at her previous home, but then we also put her in with our our jack. So hopefully hopefully something is >> is there.
>> Bend over very long and my back hurts.
But if the time frame of her having a baby is uh before she was with us, then keeping her baby would be a possibility.
>> Yeah.
>> One more foot, Dolly.
Next, next.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
Well, I think I got everything at least tealed that I can get to. Uh, you really have to watch it around some of the vine plants. You'll get those vines wrapped up, but this at least helps with some of the weeds. Uh, I still have to go through here and pull. These weeds get so big, they got a big root system, but they have to be pulled or else they just take over. And I'm not looking for perfection at this point. I'm pretty much just trying to maintain what we've got.
Probably not going to plant anything else. I thought about planting some pumpkins over here, but we'll see. I'll need to look and see if I have any seed.
But my squash is starting to play out. I still have uh still getting some. So, that's a good one right there. I like that size. That's about the biggest I really like to cook. I know you can make breads and stuff, but uh I'll pick those in a minute. Uh the peppers, as you can see, they are all really doing good as far as leafy greens. They got quite a few blooms on them. Haven't got a ton of peppers off of them, but they are starting to put on There's a There's a jalapeno right there. Little jalapeno.
Uh I've got a couple bell peppers off of some of them. See? See if I see anything. Not really. But peppers like warmer weather. Tomatoes like warmer weather. Uh, so we'll see. Now, the cucumbers. Oh, man. I saw one giant over here. I see several giants, but there's one. Let me pull it up right here.
That thing is massive. Look at that. I'm not holding that. I'm not holding that close to the camera here. I'll put it behind my head. That's how big that thing is. It is massive. So, what are you going to do? got a lot of good ones to eat. But there are a few ones good ones like this that probably going to go to the chickens because the chickens really enjoy the ones like that.
But we have some more stuff down here.
I'll show you real quick. We have some cantaloupe. So there are cantaloupe growing right there. Let's see. Kind of rotate them because again all the moisture in the soil is just uh not good. Kind of give them a little bit of a rotate.
give a chance for that new side to take some of that moisture, not just that one side. Now, here's a bigger one.
Oh, yeah. That one's that one's getting closer to ripe. So, probably be another week or two on that one. Probably within the week that'll be ready.
Turn these all over. Pull the weed.
Throw it in there for the limeo lawn mower to get spaghetti squash.
Some of them are starting to uh turn yellow, which you guys told me was a sign that they're starting to get ready.
Also, if the vine dies. So, that is the update on the garden. I'm going to finish working in here. Uh, but I told you we had a unexpected, unannounced visitor, unwelcomed visitor show up to the farm. Uh, and eventually this visitor could potentially be after my corn. Let me show you what I found when I walked outside yesterday morning.
>> Oh man, I just walked outside, had my cup of coffee. Bella looked a little anxious. I can tell why. I looked up and look what was above my head. It looks like a little raccoon.
Oh my goodness.
Uh, that's not supposed to be there.
Bella's really wanting it. Oh goodness.
>> Little.
>> It's little. Yeah.
>> They're just waiting for it to fall.
>> Yeah. When it falls, there's going to be a fight.
Come here.
What is it?
I think you should get the chicken net.
>> Wow, wasn't that crazy? A dad gum raccoon stuck right above the door. So, in my mind, if I would have walked out and that little dude fell on my face, I would have just been going all kinds of crazy, but thankfully he didn't. The dogs uh were wanting to get after it. We don't want any raccoons, unfortunately.
That's the way it goes. It's farm life, people. Got to take care of your animals first. So, there is the update here on the farm. I think we're going to head over to the movies very soon. So, I'm going to get out of the garden. Uh, if you guys have any prayer requests, just leave those down in the comments below.
I don't really have any prayer requests today. Just very thankful in a state of thankfulness. I'm very blessed to have Cassie for 18 years. We're going to be celebrating this weekend on a little getaway trip um our anniversary. So, very thankful. A praise for for that. a pray for our marriage and prays for her.
Uh don't forget also about sweet night.
That link will be down in the description. If you are in need of a good night's sleep, they will get you taken care of. But thank you so much for following along. We hope you have a great day and God bless.
