The National Cancer Plan, which I as the Minister at the time was absolutely delighted to lead on and launch earlier this year, is perhaps the first National Cancer Plan that doesn't have metastatic disease as a brief mention, but it's got it really at the very heart of the plan, and I'm really pleased about that. Um, because it has not been forgotten about.

[00:00:25]And the number one thing that I wanted to make sure was in that plan is that we count, and this has been touched on before. We estimate 61,000 people have got metastatic breast cancer, but really we haven't got a clue.

[00:00:38]We've got some good data for de novo, where it's diagnosed initially, but for people like me who are diagnosed 10, 12, 20 years later, we don't really know.

[00:00:48]And without that, we can't build the services, we can't estimate demand, um, and the fundamental truth is, if I am not counted, I do not count. We must start there. The Cancer Plan commits to counting metastatic disease properly, starting with breast cancer. So, I ask the Minister, what progress has been made, and will she set a deadline for trusts to report? It's literally just counting.
