Breast expanders are capsule-based devices that are initially placed with less volume than the final desired size, requiring gradual saline fills over several weeks to months to achieve the target implant size, unlike permanent implants that are filled immediately during surgery.

Surgery Week: Day 2 • Expanders Explained
Added:Hey everybody. So, I have made it to Fort Lauderdale, as you can see.
Beautiful, isn't it?
And yeah, it was pretty uh long drive. Um it was eight, a little over eight hours, like eight and a half hours.
Um Nothing too insane, I guess. Just long.
Um yeah, I checked into my hotel.
Uh went ahead and had some dinner. And um just enjoying the view. Um Tomorrow, um since as you can assume, I did get the piece of paper I was supposed to get, um is going to be my pre-op with Dr. Stokes.
Um Not really sure what to expect. I don't really remember pre-op um with Dr. Redus or any of the other doctors before.
So, I don't really know how it will go.
Um I can assume it's going to go pretty well.
Um you know, just talking about what to expect at the surgery, um the post-op, that kind of thing.
This is actually the first surgery. So, now that we're talking about it, I'll tell you guys a little bit of history.
Um this is the first surgery that I will actually stay um overnight in the same city and like go to my post-op appointment um with Redus. And this is going to like blow your mind, but this does happen.
Um The last surgery that I did with him, um I drove down and drove back. We drove back the same day or next day. We drove back the next very next day. So, I never stayed for my post-op. Um my second surgery with him, or my first surgery I guess you could say, I drove down and drove home in the same day. So, I literally got done with surgery and did not take um any of my pain meds post-op from surgery and then drove straight home and then took the meds when I got home.
Um Revas was only like 6-hour drive from where I lived at the time, so it wasn't too bad. Um but this time um I'm going to stay uh overnight and then through the next few days until um I'm cleared to go home on Monday. So, um that's going to be a little different for me and what to expect as far as post-op goes.
Um what else? Um I guess we can kind of talk about um expanders. I've had a lot of questions come up as far as like how big I'll be um after surgery and I think a lot of people have misconceptions about expanders. So, let me clear a few things uh about them. Um number one, expanders are a capsule.
They're not like a an implant that you um overfill with saline. It's kind of the same thing, but it's not. Um so, a capsule um varies because it's going to have a flat back and it's going to have a rounded front and that is going to go inside of me um and sit on my chest wall um versus these are actually like a bag of fluid that they overfill. So, the capsule can only expand so far um when you initially go in for surgery.
So, right [clears throat] now I'm 2,000 cc overfilled saline implants. And when I get the expanders put in, I may be even less than what I am now to start with because we don't know how they'll sit on my chest, the skin, where my nipple will be, that kind of thing. So, the doctor's got to kind of play around with all of that. And then, the capsule itself has to slowly expand or you run the risk of rupturing the capsule. So, um along with a you know, a plethora of other things like, you know, your skin stretching and um that kind of stuff. So, with that being said, I might be 1,500 cc post-op from surgery. Um however, bear with me, that's not where I'm going to stay.
Um that is one of the things that I had to accept um in getting this surgery because um you're you're going to get fills, right? So, you have the port that I talked about that's in your skin, in your body, that they're going to fill with saline fluid post-op like post-op recovery. Like, so a couple weeks from now after I'm done healing and everything's good, um the doctor will clear me to have a fill.
Those fills of saline vary and they're going to range anywhere from, you know, 50 cc to 500 cc just based on what my body can hold at the time. So, you know, let's just say I'm 1,500 cc post-op.
After my first fill, I could be 2,000 again.
Um or, you know, if I'm 2,000 at post-op, I could be 2,500. So, it's going to take a little bit to get to where I feel comfortable and where I want to be um as far as, you know, how big I'm going to get. But, I will not be 4,000 or 5,000, you know, right off the bat, like, post-op from surgery. That's not how expanders work. So, hopefully that cleared a little bit up for you guys. Um, I know a lot of people are not versed on, you know, expanders and what all that entails. And so, and I wasn't either, so don't feel bad.
But, um, there's a lot that goes into it. So, um, yeah, that's kind of, you know, where I'm at right now.
Um, it's going to be a long process, and I know I'm going to sacrifice a good bit, um, you know, with like my body and where I'm at now.
Obviously, you know, I'm going to miss the gym a little bit. Um, I'm going to have to kind of rebuild my physique as far as that goes. Um, I know a lot of people are like, "You look fine. It doesn't matter." But, like, that bodybuilder mentality never leaves.
So, in my mind I'm like, "All right, I've already missed like three leg days, two arm days." Like, there's a lot I'm going to have to like rebuild, um, along with healing and then rebuilding my chest, obviously. So, um, I have a few questions for Dr. Stokes tomorrow, nothing crazy. Um, she's already told me that she will give me my implants back, which is cool. Um, Dr. Revis gave me my last set back, and I actually ended up selling those on eBay, which is what I'm going to do again.
But, I sold those on eBay, um, to a guy in like Germany, I think, or England. I don't remember where he was at. But, um, yeah, so, she's going to give me these back.
Um, my real only like questions for her are going to be um I don't like when I can be cleared to work out again, probably.
Um how big, you know, I'm going to be at the end. Um I really am like fingers crossed that she can keep me close to 2,000 cc's because I know it will mess with me mentally a little bit. You know, anybody who says that it doesn't matter, they're lying. Um cuz I've been 2,000 cc's for a really long time. And I feel like even if I woke up and I was 1,000 cc's, it would do some kind of like mental mind game with me, you know, like like I would notice.
Um because I've been this way for so long, you know.
Um I would notice how my clothes fit. I know how everything fits like with 2,000. So, that's another thing that I'm kind of having to like >> [snorts] [laughter] >> Like I almost just like hope I wake up and she lies to me and she's like, "You're 2,000."
Cuz that would help my mental well-being, you know.
As crazy as that sounds. Um yeah, that's kind of where I'm at right now. Um other questions I'm going to ask um how big the scar is going to be, that's in my head right now.
I'm trying not to think about it. I I don't have scars.
So, I'm trying to be mindful of that.
Um when can I lay out in the sun again? Cuz obviously I live at the beach, not this beach, but a different the prettier beach.
No offense Fort Lauderdale, but this is Look, after you've seen Crab Island and Dustin, this is uh um mid. This is mid.
Um what else?
Yeah, I don't know. That's really it. Um yeah, that's really all I can think about for now as far as questions go.
I've got my like post-op outfit ready. It's a button-up, nothing crazy. Um I've done this a few times. Button-ups are best. Um Comfy is key for the next few days.
Um I do plan to go out tomorrow night to have like one last hurrah meal with 2000s, you know? So, um there's that part.
Um I've got like one last sexy little outfit that I haven't worn yet that I really want to wear.
Um yeah, that's pretty much it as far as like what's coming up.
So, um yeah, I'm clear, everything's good to go. The doctor did give me my paper, as you guys know. Um nothing crazy there.
He was just like signed off on it. Apparently, my doctor actually retired and nobody told me.
Um so, when I went back to the doctor on Monday to get the release form, the amendment form, they're like, "Oh yeah, your doctor retired." And I'm like, "Cool."
So, I have a new one now.
Just random.
Um and he had his first interaction with me was to clear me for surgery to go and get bigger tits. So, bless his bless his heart.
Um but yeah, that's pretty much it.
Um I'm going to enjoy the view for the rest of the night.
I brought a lot of books.
Um I am not taking video calls, you guys. I know some of y'all have asked me about that.
I'm not doing anything. This is literally my week to just chill. Like I don't know if a lot of y'all know, but I do have a full-time job and I have been working my butt off doing that, full-time job, traveling, um you know, making content, going mainstream, um just all the things lately. And so your girl was tired.
I'm so tired. I'm like I just want to chill and just like smell the ocean and relax and not feel pressured to do anything other than just heal.
So, that is on my mind right now.
Um I love y'all. I thank y'all for supporting my journey.
Um It's been a wild journey, you guys.
I can't even tell you. Like it's so weird to think um that I've gone from being completely flat-chested to now I'm going to have expanders, right? Like that is mind-blowing.
Um one of my favorites messaged me last night and I don't mean to like drop name drop or like brag, but I'm going to brag because I love her to death. And I followed her for so long, you guys, and um >> [clears throat] >> Britney Elizabeth messaged me last night on X or this morning one and wished me a safe recovery, you know, and she also has expanders and she's had her trials and tribulations as far as that goes and I followed her for the longest time. I love her to death, but she actually wished me a speedy recovery and it made my like day today, you know?
I'm like I it's like a weird feeling. Like I think I'm like maybe kind of relevant now in the big booby community. Like I know that sounds so crazy and so stupid, but it just made me feel really loved and just like noticed, you know? Um I've done a lot as far as like bodybuilding goes, but I This is like my first real stint as far as like being in the big booby community and like exposing them and putting them out there and like owning it, right? Like, I've never really had the chance to um own them. Um I've always felt like because of the town that I lived in at the time, I should have been, you know, more hidden, more um diluted, more modeled down. Um So, I never really got a chance to be me and now that I am, it feels amazing and it feels freeing and it feels wonderful.
And so, yeah, it just feels nice to be recognized now by the XL implant community, you know? And to be one of the few who have expanders and um are going to reach really high numbers with those. So, um I look forward to seeing, you know, Dr. Stokes's work and um what they're going to look like after and yeah, um wish me luck for tomorrow. I will definitely update you guys >> [clears throat] >> as far as pre-op goes. Um and just kind of let you know what we discussed, what the, you know, next day is going to hold. Obviously, I can't update you surgery day, but um I'll try and get some behind the scenes stuff for y'all.
So, yeah.
Um thanks again for tuning in. This is day two of surgery week.
And I will talk to you guys tomorrow.
Okay, bye.
