Tyler Hacking’s integration of fluid dynamics with microbial ecology turns traditional composting into a precise, high-efficiency biotechnological process. It is a practical masterclass in using intentional engineering to accelerate natural soil regeneration.

🪱 Compost Tea Aquaculture Part 2 Tyler Hacking sustainable soil regeneration biotechnologyAñadido:
This is exactly what you want for highly circulative and oxygenic or aerobic vermicompost tea aquaculture. Now, the reason that this is at a low 45° angle is because I want it to plunge into the surface of the water directly.
And that's sort of like a waterfall effect. It's also causing rotation and both of those will facilitate surface aeration. So, two forms there and then we have our air stones, which I need to plug in.
Okay.
Still getting this location set up, so definitely a mess.
Like any >> [music] >> proper compost system should be.
Okay.
That's on. Now, I'm going to submerge my air stones.
If you look closely, you can see that they're pushing out air.
Okay, dropping those in.
So, I'm adding in about this much sugar today.
This is just hardened sugar that I left out and it's totally fine once it goes into the liquid solution, it will then become very soluble and dissolve into the solution. [music] I've also got fresh [clears throat] worm castings and I did add leachate to this, which I very freshly milked out. Oh, yeah.
And now that I've got all of my aeration going and circulation, I can control the types of microorganisms that grow and don't grow. And this the oxygenic cell culture systems do inhibit the growth of anaerobic or non-oxygen using microorganisms.
All right, I'm going to have to put you down while I twist this up.
Didn't bring my tripod today.
Okay.
And on with the lid.
Sometimes it will froth, so at times I'll put down just a little bit of paper, and that way it'll break up the bubbles and so on, but this is a great system. You can with the splitter turn on and off different air closes. I turn the five on that I'm using on this system, and then I'm going to let that go for 24 to 48 hours based on my application.
Let me know what you think, or if you have any questions.
