Whatnot SCAMMERS From Pokemon Cards To Everything Else

[00:00:11]I'm not getting scammed. So, we're going to dabble into a couple of the other categories and see if it's just Pokemon that's getting scammed on on the whatnot or if it's the whole platform.

[00:00:26]So, we go to Lerseius here who says, "What not Pokemon seller flipping whale selling Real Packs? No rare in the pack." So, surely a seller will notice if there's no rare in the pack, right?

There can be mistakes made by the factory, but I'm just saying there's a whole lot of red flags there on top of that. We got the account here just in case we need to keep an eye. But uh be very careful if somebody's reselling packs and they're not the dumbest of dumb. You're not going to have any way of knowing. You're basically trusting the person on the screen there to make sure they haven't searched it or the packs could be searched because if it's from a booster box and a big hit came out of that booster box, even in English, there's a good chance the rest of those packs are not going to have one of those big hits.

[00:02:18]Okay. What What's going on here? Let's take a little look. So, they're blaming their local up USPS. Unfortunately, has a 1.2 star rating. We have allowed that all packages end up missing and they just don't give me answers on it and we try to keep a good relationship with them, but it's very tough. If you're not happy with your order when it arrives, I totally don't mind refunding your entire order and you don't have to ship anything back.

[00:02:44]I won't say no to that. That would be appreciated and I absolutely will make sure I leave a positive review. So, it seems they're missing four cards out of their order. Two weeks to ship, missing half my order, nothing sleeved, and then tries to blackmail me for the refund, refuses to refund until I took down my negative but honest review. Seller asked me to put in for a refund, but then is upset for whatnot holding the money. I'm confused on what he even meant. But nonetheless, whatnot still has yet to step in. So, this seems to be the case where they'll they're like, "Oh, remove the negative review before they make it right." But the problem with that is they claim that like or they they want to let on that you can just you can leave another negative review after after you take it down. But that seems to not be the case. So they're probably just trying to get the negative taken off of there I guess. But also surprise guys, the account is no longer active.

[00:03:42]Holy moly. That's uh few and far between. Speaking of few and far between, we have Possession 4321 saying, "Stop." This man looks pretty familiar.

[00:04:01]Uh, yes, he has changed his name. He used to be Mr. Shifty, and we saw him on the channel here. Apparently, he's not banned yet. He's already got a couple Reddit threads about him. He's definitely been featured in one of the whatnot videos on the channel here. Uh, and this individual says they bought 3,000 worth of singles from him about a year ago, sent them to get graded, and all but one came back as altered.

[00:04:26]Yeah, that's uh not a surprise. Why is he not banned? Surely. And like we got this one. There's several people in the thread here claiming they got scammed by this guy. This one for $8,000 a while back. spent three months going back and forth with whatnot support with tons and tons of evidence. I had hundreds of photos and clips from his stream TLDDR.

[00:04:47]He sold me cards that he labeled as gem mint, mint, or near mint plus. Most of the cards were actually heavy heavy play or damaged on stream. The condition of the cards look good, but when I got them, most of the cards had hidden creases, dents, or were altered.

[00:05:05]He's can just change his name to Exodex and uh and keep going.

[00:05:11]I don't know how and why. Well, I kind of know how and why. It's like seems like it's a little bit designed to protect people that are doing something shady and want to change their name so that people can't identify them. Maybe people won't notice. Maybe people won't go do the research on the Reddit threads to keep up with what the name is. Now, if you purchase from this person and you have messages and you go check them, then you'll see that they changed their name. But if you didn't, you might just think this is a new cool seller and they retain all their their feedback. So, not even an example of the uh the vetting process sort of failing people in in the form of like somebody gets banned and they just make a new account whether they use somebody else's ID or anything like that. If there was a screening process in place where the person has to go on there and show what they have and show what they're doing, show what they're selling and then the whatnot staff can identify like, hey, this is a scammer that was banned from the platform previously.

[00:06:12]Probably not. That's hopeful thinking here. What do we have? We have OP Model 3 scams me out of a manga card, keeps my tip, then blocks me. We're not going to watch the the whole thing here because it is a lengthy video, but we are going to get an idea of what's going on here.

It's unfortunate that they got what they got whatnot credit for it because now they're going to go to another stream and maybe they get scammed again.

So, not only did the people get scammed who were supposed to re receive the hits, but everyone else that bought booster packs and got their stuff, they had no chance at getting the manga because if he wasn't going to ship it to the person that got it, he wasn't going to ship it to you either. So, yes, everyone should be refunded that purchased from any of that break. Crazy.

Uh, in this case, it's mostly just a a scenario where we have, if it doesn't go in the way, the sellers, the whatnot sellers who create the gambling games, the whatnot sellers who create the starting amount for auctions, they're going to get upset when it doesn't go in their favor. The odds are against you, but if you win, oh man, they are not going to be happy.

And the reason why they're going to send you that other random bolt card is because they need to have a label associated with it. And uh this is definitely something that needs to be cracked down by whatnot.
