Deep Neck Contouring

[00:00:00]I'm going to share with you a wonderful before and after. This is our patient who's 34 years old. This is the surgery performed by Dr. Joe Ac and myself.

[00:00:08]She was unhappy with the fullness in her neck. She's in her 30s, doesn't need a facelift, but some of us are just born with a lot of extra fullness in the neck and she wanted more definition. We performed a deep neck lift with an incision under the chin, reduced some of the submandibular gland and some of the fat as well.

[00:00:24]In combination, we performed a facial fat transfer and an upper eyelid blepharoplasty.

[00:00:30]Here she is 4 months later looking very well contoured, beautiful. She's got nice return of the midface volume, her eyes are more open, and that neck and jawline profile is snatched.

[00:00:46]Liposuction would not have taken care of all of the fullness and definition that we're able to achieve with the deep neck lift.

[00:00:52]Here she is a few months later. Surgery for this takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours and it requires an incision under the chin with about 10 to 14 days of swelling and healing.

[00:01:03]She also underwent some volume augmentation in the midface with a fat transfer and an upper eyelid blepharoplasty. Front view, you can appreciate the fullness in the neck, very slight volume loss in the midface, which is typical of aging as we get into our 30s and 40s.

[00:01:21]And here she is, you can appreciate the nice midface volume augmentation and the gorgeous shape of the neck and jawline.
