[00:00:00]I'm in Gross Isle, Manitoba, about half an hour out of Winnipeg. This is a seed farm called Rutherford Farms, 5,500 acres. And [music] one thing that they're doing here is they're trying out new farming technologies, things like drones and robots. This robot is called the Oz 440, [music] and it can dig up the field, plant seeds, and kill weeds.

[00:00:18]The drone is a DJI, and it flies over the fields and creates maps of what's growing and what isn't, [music] and can identify weeds. It can also be fixed with a tank for spraying herbicides. So, clearly this was shot at a former the field.

[00:00:33]Though this is not yet legal in Canada.

[00:00:35]It brings to bear algorithms and artificial [music] intelligence to create more data for the farmer to figure out what's happening on his farm.
