[00:07:27]I once spent a very cold and rainy night in a hammock in between those two trees.

[00:07:35]And then uh we had two or three group camps back here. Not group camps, but two hike camps. Matt was up there. Chris was back there. I was here. Somebody else is right here.

[00:07:51]They brought the line off that tree over that rock and then fit in this tree.

[00:07:59]This has been this has hosted some really good campouts.

[00:08:11]This is her first time backpacking.

[00:08:14]Uh, I've known her since she was I don't know. I'll have to ask her how old she was. Seventh grade, I think.

[00:12:02]And the coffee berry, if you know where the coffee berry was upstream, it's back. I didn't think it'd ever make it back. It was burnt to the ground, gone, not seeing nothing. It's back about 5t tall. It's not as thick. I mean, they're little quarter inch shoots.

[00:12:31]Take your yuckas. Cut the tips off if you got a a puncturable sink like I got.

[00:12:38]See the sink? But break the fibers up and watch. Ring this in your hand like I was ringing. Watch. Watch. Just crank it in circles like creamy lather.

[00:13:17]And the uh duckes work great for cleaning pots and pans. You know, sponge.

[00:18:30]Now we're going have some We didn't bring a lot of dinner. She was fasting, but that changed. Now we're going to have some peach gobbler.

[00:18:45]In the morning, we're having powdered eggs and and real bacon.

[00:18:51]Smoked peppered bacon. Peach gobblers cooking in a good old acorn coffee.

[00:19:45]For a while it was too tense.

[00:20:49]Certain areas of certain trails carry very strong memories for you if you've been doing this any amount of time. Right in here, some of my strongest memories are a with Frank and my my nephew Robert.

[00:21:11]Neither one will probably ever step foot in this canyon again. Robert lives in Utah, married, two kids, works 60 hours a week, plus rarely gets out to California.

[00:21:27]When Frank age caught him a bunch of strokes, he rarely leaves the apartment anymore.

[00:21:39]But both are alive and both are here.

[00:21:45]Every time I come alive in the canyon, I can hear them as well as Joey and Gabriel.

[00:22:05]In the heat of the midday during the summer, California summer, few men dared to cross the Terreso Plains.

[00:22:17]But she's no man.

[00:22:42]Here's how low the river is. This used to be a sw one of our swim holes where you could jump off of this ledge into it. It's about 4T here.

[00:23:14]It might go dry this summer.
