Lung Nodules Too Small? New Treatment Hope Revealed

[00:00:00]Before when um my oncologist and um my treatment team including radiation doctor >> [snorts] >> reviewed my CT scan, they told me that >> [snorts] >> they don't think they can treat my lung nodules yet because they're too small to target even with radiation, right?

[00:00:24]And this interventional radiologist was like, "Oh, that's interesting because I It seems like they might be able to target, you know. It's not like it's really really tiny."

[00:00:34]Um so he referred me to um a different radiation doctor, I guess to get a second opinion.

[00:00:43]And he also ordered me to get a PET scan, right?

[00:00:47]She told me how um SBRT, which is like a targeted radiation, so it's a type of radiation where >> [snorts] >> I guess they target like a small portion of the organ instead of a affecting like the whole area of the organ, right?

[00:01:03]Um so she told me how like she could potentially use SBRT.

[00:01:08]But then >> [sighs and gasps] >> still it wouldn't like the uh those lung nodules are still too small to target.

[00:01:17]So she does not think that uh like right now I will be a good candidate to be treated with SBRT.
