Hair transplant update - day 16 (Casey Zander hair transplant)

[00:00:00]Day 16 of the hair transplant. Um, I finally could get a haircut, so I just wanted to even it out and just like buzz it bald. And the main reason why I did this is because you go through this thing called shock loss. So, I didn't know, like I know that once you get the hair transplant, like after about 10 days to 2 weeks in that area, you start shedding the transplanted hairs, but I did not know that like the trauma from the surgery causes shock loss where your actual like long hairs that like weren't transplanted, like your head actually just starts like shedding hairs. Right?

[00:00:34]So, like I just started losing clumps of hair after the surgery. So, that's why once I saw that like I was receding like way quicker, like, you know, like so much from the actual trauma of the surgery. It's called shock loss, right?

[00:00:46]You can look that up. But yeah, that's why I did it. So, then I was on like day 16 today. So, I was like, you know what?

[00:00:51]I'm just going to see how I'd look bald.

[00:00:52]Um, the thing is when this girl is in the hairline, I think it's going to actually be super good because it just is like etched out perfectly.

[00:01:00]But the coolest thing about this is like the sun bleaches my hair pretty blonde in the summer.

[00:01:06]So, once I'm able to start like getting sun again on the hair, right? Like this will be the first time that like the roots of my hair will probably be blonde, too. So, then it'll be just like a blonde flow instead of just like blonde over the top. I'll put up a couple pictures of how I look like with hair. But yeah, like honestly, like I don't really think I looked that bad bald. Like I don't really think and you know, it's a little patchy because I didn't want to go too uh I didn't want to like put a clipper over like the transplanted hair area. But like I don't think like my head shape is like that bad. Like I honestly think bald could suit me if I wanted to. Um, but I'll put up a couple pictures um of what I look like with hair and then you can see where the new hairline is going to be and then they did like 450 grafts up here um on the crown.

[00:01:53]But what I'm going to be doing mainly for like post-op recovery is like the laser cap.

[00:01:58]Um to my understanding, I lost like no grafts. I didn't see any bleeding. Um there was no like dislodged grafts. So, everything healed really well. Um I went to a phenomenal doctor. Um but yeah, this is like the first time I've like had like a buzz cut or like a bald head and like I don't know like I don't really mind it. Like I don't think it's that bad, right?

[00:02:19]Um but yeah, day 16, right? Like I don't know like I think like if you can afford to get a hair transplant and you want hair, you might as well. Like I just turned 30, like and I was starting to get a little bit of recession. So, I was like if I fill that in and then I keep hair through all my 30s, right? Like might as well, right?

[00:02:35]You might as well just do what you want to do. Um but yeah, like I said, it's a little uneven through here just cuz like you can see where it's uneven. I didn't want like I didn't really want a clipper on the transplanted area. I just took off the top where it was long.
