June 18, 2026 The Rollercoaster

[00:00:00]Uh, all right.

[00:00:02]Well, you know, when you have Parkinson's, sometimes it's like a a roller coaster ride.

[00:00:11]Sometimes you're on the way up.

[00:00:14]And you get up to the top.

[00:00:16]And then sometimes you're on the way down.

[00:00:19]So, a couple of weeks ago I had to go to my neurologist and uh I was having a little extra dyskinesia that day. So, she wanted to try to adjust my medications and we uh agreed to try to cut one of the dopamine carbidopa-levodopa pills out of my uh out of my diet. Both pills.

[00:00:42]So, I went ahead and did that and spread out my other medication times and within probably 3 or 4 days, 3 or 4 days, I knew whatever it was uh a downward trend and was fighting through it until I got to the point where I had regressed to place that I haven't been to in quite a many years and really didn't wasn't happy to be back there. So, I went ahead and started taking the extra pill again and it took about I don't know, 3 or 4 days and now I'm getting back to where I was prior to trying to lower my medications, which is really like to do, but Dr. Park said, "Nope, nope, we got you on the hook for seven pills a day.

[00:01:33]You're going to stay there, son."

[00:01:36]Anyways, uh you can probably look forward to some more painting work because I'm feeling better and I should be able to have some time to make some more art. So, just a little insight on Parkinson's.

[00:01:51]Every day is different and definitely have trends of upward swings and downward swings. So far I'm feeling pretty good today.
