Republicans TERRIFIED As SECRET Medicaid Plot Goes Public

[00:00:00]Republicans know that the is about to hit the fan as the Congressional Budget Office, the CBO, has estimated that approximately 10.9 million to 12 million Americans will lose their health insurance coverage under Donald Trump's one big beautiful bill act. This includes 3 million kids over just the next decade. You're concerned about the range of people up here in your district and you don't like that. Obviously.

[00:00:41]$1 trillion stolen from us through cuts to Medicaid.

[00:00:47]What does that mean? It means that this hospital is going to close. High likelihood of closure is policy speak for this hospital is going to close. Not just randomly, because Representative Cain Jr. voted to cut a trillion dollars from Medicaid along with all of the Republicans in Congress and Trump in the White House. And why did they cut a trillion dollars from Medicaid? Why is this hospital going to close? So that they could give trillions of dollars in tax handouts to the richest people in the history OF THE WORLD. WHY? So they can buy another golden yacht to sail to Epstein's Island? You think it is a good outcome that meta gets to save $3 billion, Amazon gets $4 billion, and to pay for it millions of Americans lose their health care? That's your view as the CEO of the IRS? I don't see the two of them correlated, ma'am.

[00:01:51]Well, they're correlated in terms of those tax cuts were paid for by pushing people off their health care. Did you not follow that?

[00:02:01]Those tax cut Those tax cuts 30 million seniors, your seniors >> $3 billion for meta, paid for by people being pushed off their health care. And you're the one who said really good outcome >> It is a really good outcome for the American public here. The tax The tax what was enacted in the working family tax act use of the Trump administration, loud and clear. We are talking about children. About a third of all children in the country have Medicaid as their primary health insurance. Yes. Uh most uh majority of births right now in this country are covered by deliveries covered by Medicaid. Yes. And so the the impact is widespread. Mhm. Um and uh you know if it's not you, it's your neighbors.

[00:02:58]It's people in your community.

[00:03:01]And so we really have to fight back. And let's not forget the why. Why are they doing all of this? They're doing this so that they can give enormous tax breaks to the wealthiest among us and big corporations. Yes. That is immoral. You had mentioned the rural hospital piece, uh $50 billion, largest investment. But it there's a reason why the Senate Republicans asked for a $50 billion rural hospital investment is because of the trillion-dollar nearly trillion-dollar cut to Medicaid. There would not have been a request for that.

[00:03:36]It was the only way to get a few of them to vote uh for this massive spending deal. They spent $4.5 trillion. Most of that went to tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefited the super wealthy. It was about a $2 trillion dollar increase in the debt.

[00:03:53]So, you said there's no cuts to Medicaid. In order to balance that spending bill.

[00:04:01]It was two, two and a half trillion dollars in deficit spending. Trillion dollar cut essentially in Medicaid. Was it three and a half trillion for deficit spending or was there truly as as as we have been saying a nearly trillion dollar cut to Medicaid and and why these Republican senators push for a rural hospital fund of 50 billion dollars which is nowhere close to a trillion dollars in cuts to Medicaid.

[00:04:27]There's no cut in Medicaid. Look at the CBO report >> go back then then just do the math with me, then that means that they added three and a half trillion dollars to the deficit. You got to find a trillion dollars. You either added a trillion dollars to the deficit or you cut Medicaid by a trillion dollars.

[00:04:41]>> do you think the Congressional Budget Office is lying? Yeah, but the Congressional Budget Office >> they're lying? No, they're saying that there was this massive >> a 47% increase in Medicaid.

[00:04:51]They're saying they're they're saying that about 15 million Americans are going to lose their Medicaid health coverage. That is a trillion dollar cut to Medicaid. We we sat in this committee We sat in this committee and made a decision. I voted against it. My my colleagues over here voted against it to cut nearly a trillion dollars in Medicaid in order to make extra savings.

[00:05:19]Uh the I want to get back to uh everyone knows every hospital, every doctor, every provider, every patient in this country knows that you all cut nearly a trillion dollars in Medicaid. On the Medicare Advantage >> keep saying it, but it's a lie. Look at what the CBO says. Are they lying to us?

[00:05:37]No, they're saying that there was a massive cut.

[00:05:40]People are going to lose their coverage.

[00:05:41]>> increase. Are there concerns about the Medicaid though? Cuts to Medicaid No, no, we're not going to be playing with Medicaid. Only waste fraud and abuse.

[00:05:49]Yeah, the Democrats have it wrong. Yeah.

[00:05:51]Waste fraud and abuse. We did In fact, if you look at what's going on, we've gone way back. We take care of Medicaid, we take care of Medicare. They will blow Medicare and Medicaid because they they have no idea what they're doing. Just like they don't have any idea what they did on the border, they have no idea.

[00:06:08]Medicaid is in big trouble with the Democrats. So, for anyone who loses their health care coverage, that is because of waste fraud and Waste fraud Only waste fraud and abuse, which is what everybody wants. Republicans love framing life-saving programs as waste, fraud, and abuse. If they genuinely cared about that waste, the fraud, and the abuse, well then Rick Scott would be in jail, not the Senate. This is the man who oversaw the largest Medicare fraud settlement in US history while running a hospital company to the tune of $1.7 billion. He pleaded the fifth 75 times, and if 3 million kids having health insurance is wasteful, then I say keep on wasting. People aren't stupid. They know what's coming, and so too do the Republicans. The midterms are looming, and they can only gaslight people into thinking that things are just fine for so long. Things like losing your health insurance and being unable to afford the cost of living, those are going to be radicalizing things for a lot of people.

[00:06:55]And while it's depressing that it'll take personal loss to make some folks see, maybe better late than never.
