A balanced political system requires strong voices on both the left and right to function properly; when one side is weak or non-existent, the system becomes unbalanced and ineffective. The recent Andy Burnham election result demonstrates how political change can create opportunities for both left and right perspectives to be represented, with the left gaining a potential vehicle for representation through Labour and the right having strong figures like Rupert Lowe, while centrists may become politically homeless.

A coffee, pipe & Burnham: The Left and Right WON Today.
Added:Very well, welcome. Thank you very much for joining me on this glorious Friday morning.
The sun is shining and a heat wave is on the way.
So, I'm in the man cave just uh enjoying the coolness of the uh air-conditioned room that I've got.
And I thought we'd have a coffee and a ball and a little catch-up. Uh there's some political news.
Uh so, I do like to nod, give a little look and thought over anything political that goes on. I know a lot of people don't, but I think it's quite an interesting time and I think it'd be rude not to have a little uh chat about the goings-on.
Uh don't mind me. I'm just lighting an um uh what do you call it?
Uh incense stick.
I have currently got a fascination obsession with incense sticks. I think it's a This one's a dragon's blood. Absolutely glorious smell.
And um yeah. So, Andy Burnham's won 54% of the vote and he also uh fended off an insurgence from Reform. Now, it's a very interesting morning, I think, and I think it's definitely worth a little look.
Um simply because I think there is room for everybody on both the left and the right to look at this.
And those that are not really left or right. I mean, I myself am not left or right.
I sort of lean in towards a um more What's [sighs] the word?
centralized Not even centralized really. I think it's all a big joke to be honest.
However, I do like it [snorts] when there's voices on both the left and the right. I like it when I'm I'm very very happy to say now that there is a motion towards a stronger left. Now, and the only reason I like that is because I feel that politics is better balanced if we have a strong left and a strong right. Because if you've got a strong right and a weak and non-existing uh left side, uh it's a walk in the park and there's no balance or anything really.
So, I'm very very excited at the prospect of a bit of balance to start caring. Uh what it's shown is a rejection of the system, a rejection of the goings-on. People are interested in change. Now, from what I can see, um this isn't a defeat by This isn't This isn't This isn't a defeat, you know, it's not it's the left the left haven't defeated the right on this one. And the right haven't lost.
And the left haven't lost either. It's um So, the way that I see it is the left haven't defeated the right because firstly, we're looking at a safe seat that was already uh it's been in labor for 100 years.
Um and I think what people have been doing in Makerfield is tactically voting whichever way they can to get Starmer out as quick as possible.
And um that for me uh really really makes it difficult to take anything from this.
Um I don't think the left or the right can can really get any consideration from this other than uh it was a clear rejection of the system. It was a clear rejection of the uh it was a it is a clear rejection of how things have been going.
And I think the exciting thing is we do have an opportunity to move in a more stronger direction on both the left and the right. And uh I do think that we do need a strong left and a strong right. I think Andy Burnham has got some interesting ideas. I would like to see some sort of universal basic income start moving into what the country we're moving into what is an automated time and I think there's not a lot of jobs going.
And I think there's a lot of people that are um that are suffering and struggling. I think there's an opportunity here for industries to be tapped into. I mean there's lots of mines, there's lots of oil, there's lots of fishing, there's lots of northern industry that need to be brought back. And if the uh labor party under Andy Burnham could move back towards being a labor party which is the big question that I think everybody needs to ask. This is definitely their last chance.
I don't think the electorate will ever bring back in Labour now if there isn't a change from Burnham. So, what it signals is a stark message to the elites, to the system, to the current goings-on that this is a a no point a point of no return a point of last action last chance.
Um I can't see in a world where Green Party would ever surface up as a majority power.
Um so, you are in a position, I believe, where Labour's really the only vehicle for the left. We have seen um attempts at parties uh from the likes of Corbyn and others, and it just doesn't work. So, we do have a vehicle for change, and Labour did come back. Labour was a grassroots movement at the beginning.
So, Andy Burnham, if he does get into power, needs to start taking out some numbers, I tell you. He needs to be wiping the floor.
He needs to be He needs to be making sure that he has got allies around him, and um he needs to be really pushing Labour to the left.
Uh that's not somebody from a left perspective saying this. This is somebody from a perspective saying that the system the country needs balance. Now, we have got some very, very strong right figures uh imagine, uh particularly with Rupert Lowe, particularly with um that faction.
And the this area of politics is positive because it's it's it it's it it's a it's it's an answer.
And it's a representation of what people are thinking and what people are worrying about. Um the the left for a very long time have never had a voice. The voice has not been there. It's always been washed down to the center. When actually there's a there is a lot of socialist believers in this country. There is a lot of people very very far left. And the thing is the far left and the far right do have a lot in common. Funnily enough. So all a lot of people that are currently sat on the right will actually naturally balance back over to the left. And it'll be a very interesting time, I think. Because there's actually political hope if if if the left can strengthen, there's political homes for everybody then.
Um and the only place probably that's homeless and will be homeless for a while is the centrists.
>> [sighs] >> Um the centrists, the the Blairites, the um the established order that have managed to grip and grab and control things for a very long time uh we're seeing quite the collapse, I think.
So, yeah.
That's all I've got to say on that.
There's hope.
And I um I know I shouldn't get excited about politics. And uh I generally like the idea of um putting it aside.
But I do like to see someone like Keir Starmer uh be removed as soon as possible.
So, yeah, I think um it's time for the establishment to be taken out, essentially.
And I don't care whether it's the left or the right that do it.
Yeah. So, it's an interesting day for politics.
It's a positive day for politics.
Uh it's just a short video, this one. I just wanted to share my thoughts on the uh interesting result. I did do a video that I didn't publish, and uh it goes down quite a route of uh it wasn't suitable for YouTube. Uh but part of my prediction was Burnham getting in.
Um and it is potentially just the system defending itself.
And Burnham could just be another uh absolute failure.
Um but it is actually still a positive, even if he does fail, even if he is more of the same.
Uh because we are now at a moment where if >> [snorts] >> um things don't go to plan, we need an election.
And if they do go to plan, we need an election.
The Conservatives are done for, which is uh interesting.
Uh Labour would probably, if they didn't do very well, now would be done for.
Um the established order is getting rocked, definitely.
What does this country need?
Well, I think first it needs it needs people's opinions and voices represented in the houses of Parliament.
And I think we are potentially one step closer to that being the case.
Um it could just be that he is a puppet show. It could just be that he is a handler there. Showman. It could be a It could be a case that he is just an illusionary figure.
Um we do have one person in Parliament at the moment, Rupert Lowe, who is a real person.
Who is a real man of his own belief systems and words.
The rest of them, from what I have seen, uh just echoes of the system and part of the system and all the rest of it. So, very, very interesting day.
Very interesting day for politics. I am very interested to see where Labour take this.
And if they can go back to grassroots.
And if we can start pushing for industries in the north to be resumed after the uh dreadful dreadful closure of everything up here.
Um there is vast, vast, vast communities that are desperately in need of reopening of their their industry.
Um I do believe there is a case to end the globalist agenda. I think, hopefully, uh he will be smart in his move towards accepting uh and implementing the fact that the British public did ask to leave the EU.
Whether it was right or wrong decision, the decision was made and there is opportunities here to start bringing back manufacturing, bringing back industry, bringing back mining, bringing back fishing, and all the rest of it. And I think if we can move towards a shop local, buy local mentality in this country, I think the country would be in a much better place. And I think he is an opportunity uh to answer some of the concerns of both the left and the right. But more importantly, uh there is a vast amount of people for a very long time that haven't had um a voice.
And that is the left. Um and whether you like or the left or not, they have been voiceless for a very long time.
And Andy Burnham is a sliver of hope uh for the left having their representative in power.
And um yeah, I don't think it's um I don't think it's a bad thing. I think it's a good day for both the left and the right.
I think finally more of a balance has happened within the political system.
And um it's a further um nail in the coffin for the Keir Starmer.
And I think to be honest, that in and of itself is something to celebrate.
Um so yeah, thanks for watching. I hope you've enjoyed. Sorry it's a political ranty one this morning. I um I just find it very interesting.
And um I do like to keep me nose and me ear to the ground to see what's happening.
And this one was of particular interest because uh this does change things somewhat uh on the political sphere. So yeah, thank you very much for watching. Hope you enjoyed. I'll see you in the next one. Bye for now.
