Keeping Skunks Away!

[00:00:00]For the last couple of summers, I've had a problem with skunks.

[00:00:05]They've made intrusion beneath my front steps.

[00:00:12]>> steps and comes back to the backyard to feed.

[00:00:20]>> And they actually formed a path here all the way over here. Actually, I think this is where they made their first entry.

[00:00:34]So, let me show you what I did.

[00:00:36]This was the first thing I tried, and it's designed for skunks, groundhogs, all kinds of things. It really did not work. It has a uh odor to it that's supposed to keep them away. No.

[00:00:49]This is what I have found that works, mothballs and ammonia. This is just regular ammonia put in a spray bottle straight.

[00:00:59]And these are the mothballs that are the old-fashioned stinky ones. They don't smell like perfume. They don't smell good.

[00:01:09]Sprinkle these down here.

[00:01:11]And these last quite a while even when it rains. They seem to last. And then I top it off here with my ammonia.

[00:01:23]And redo it every Well, after it rains, I usually give another sprinkle of ammonia. And I just keep an eye and see how these mothballs are doing, but so far, so good. Fingers crossed. I would give it a try.
