This video presents a critique of democratic socialism, arguing that it represents a radical departure from traditional democratic principles and constitutional governance. The speaker contends that socialist policies, while appealing in theory, have historically resulted in significant human suffering and that the Democratic Party's adoption of socialist ideology threatens the constitutional system of checks and balances. The video specifically criticizes the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) for proposing to scrap the US Senate, abolish carceral forces, and replace the president and Supreme Court with institutions subordinate to Congress, arguing that such changes would undermine the constitutional framework designed to protect against tyranny.

Abolish the Government and Share a Bank Account: The Modern Democratic Party
Added:You know, I have to give credit to Jumaane Williams, too. At least he doesn't lie about what he believes like Barack Obama. He is just a full-on mask-off card-carrying communist who has never worked a real day in his life. But remember, Obama has endorsed Jumaane as the future of the Democratic Party. So, they're the same.
Again, socialism always sounds awesome in theory, and then in practice, lots and lots and lots of dead bodies in its wake. The devastation that socialism wrought on populations around the globe in the 20th century, it's all the evidence that you need to know that probably you should stay away from it.
But again, the mayors of New York, LA, now most likely DC will be devotees of socialism.
But here's Jumaane talking about it's a moment for more. Again, Jumaane and Obama, the same. He took advantage of a parade for the New York Knicks to talk about his radical policies.
>> Now, this is a moment of more.
Of asking for more, of expecting more, of delivering more.
We won't answer to those who insist we settle for less any longer.
Now, people often ask me what I think of the state of the Democratic Party.
This slate here today is our answer.
The Democratic Party must change.
They tend to follow that question with another.
Who do you want to run in 2028?
Then Then they ask, "When does the race for 2028 begin?"
IT STARTS NOW.
>> [cheering] >> IT STARTS ON TUESDAY.
IT STARTS WHEN WE REJECT a politics that believes in polls more than principles.
>> Okay, but you still didn't answer the question who you want to run in 2028. I mean, the answer, by the way, is That's who he wants.
He quoted Antonio Gramsci like an actual open honest-to-god Marxist.
It It's unbelievable. It really is. I mean, again, points to him for just saying all the quiet parts out loud of how terrifying and radical the Democratic Party has become.
>> And we need THAT BECAUSE AS GRAMSCI ONCE WROTE, "THE OLD world is dying and the new world struggles to be born.
Now is the time of monsters."
These monsters take many forms today.
In those who fund television ads that blanket the airwaves with misleading and bad faith attacks about Claire, Brad, and Dory.
Those who would rather spend far more on political contributions than they would ever be made to pay in taxes.
In AIPAC, for whom the only thing more frightening than democracy being allowed to run its course is an end to genocide and Netanyahu's wars.
THEY MOVE MILLIONS IN DARK MONEY TO ACCOMPLISH a single goal, to preserve their power so that they can turn us against one another.
>> Great job, Democrats. You're doing great. Keep going with this. Keep going with this insane radicalism. Let's see how it works out for you. By the way, 1 year ago at the mayoral candidate debate, he was asked his favorite next player other than Jalen Brunson and he could not name one. He named the coach instead.
He's a huge Knicks fan. That's why he's wearing that jersey.
Meanwhile, again, the DSA is on the rise among Democrats.
In Washington, D.C., the DSA mayoral candidate, a person named Janice Lewis George, was asked what socialism means to her.
And the answer is magic.
>> You know, because I think this moment calls for that level of moral clarity and courage. It calls for this level of ingenuity and it calls for a leader who is uh uh focused on putting people first and delivering on the small things, right? Uh so, our socialism is talking about just making sure your 911 system works, your 311 works, um your trash gets picked picked up, your snow gets plowed. Those basic things that make a difference in everyone's lives, and delivering for residents in all eight wards in the city, but it also focuses on delivering those big things, right?
Like universal access to child care, uh lowering utility costs for DC residents, and fighting against these data centers that are pulling on our grid, and expanding community solar. So, for me, it's really a moment where ingenuity is necessary and moral courage is necessary.
>> So, according to that lady, socialism just means like picking up the garbage or something, but it turns out it means more than that.
Stu Smith of City Journal is reporting on the DSA's radical new platform.
Apparently, the top leadership of the DSA met for an in-person meeting of their National Political Committee.
And the result of their meeting was "Workers Deserve More", a rebooted platform for the organization featuring a host of radical proposals. The document says that they should scrap the US Senate, abolish the carceral forces of the capitalist state. I assume this means getting rid of all private prisons, defunding completely the Department of War, amnesty for all immigrants, and replacing the president and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen and subordinate to Congress.
I mean, there are tons of DSA candidates who are running.
My son, Zohran Mamdani, who's in control, and a bunch of his friends in New York. It's also Adam Hamawi, who's the candidate in New Jersey, who is, you know, like an actual terror supporter, and all the rest.
We'll get some more on this in a moment.
First, nobody becomes a dad because they've figured everything out perfectly. In fact, if we are being honest, most dads can remember a moment when they realized they were responsible for another human, and immediately thought, "I have no idea what I'm doing." That's called normal. The reality is fatherhood doesn't begin with certainty, it begins with responsibility. You don't suddenly become fearless, you simply discover that someone else's well-being matters a lot more than your fear. I think that's why stories like John's resonate with so many people. When John found out he was going to be a dad, he wasn't sure he was ready. He had doubts, he had questions.
He wasn't sure about the future. Then he and his partner connected with Pre-Born and received support including a free ultrasound. John says seeing his baby changed everything not because all the challenges disappeared, but because suddenly this wasn't an abstract idea anymore, it was his baby. This Father's Day, you can help create that same moment for another family. For just 28 bucks, you can sponsor an ultrasound through Pre-Born and give a mom and a dad the opportunity to see their baby and receive life-affirming support. To donate, dial pound 250 and say keyword baby. That's pound 250 baby or visit preborn.com/shapiro.
Again, that's preborn.com/shapiro.
Go check them out right now.

One member of the Marxist Unity Group Caucus argued They have a Marxist Unity Group, by the way. Like an actual caucus. It's a caucus within the DSA.
They argue, quote, "We're never going to have democracy or socialism in the US as long as the president and the Supreme Court exist in their current form." I mean, that's true cuz we have a constitution and all. The whole point of having the Senate, the president, and the Supreme Court is so that if popular legislation passes through the House of Representatives, the ruling class has these other these other levels that they can pull to stop it from happening.
So, again, the idea is we must have tyranny so we can have socialism, which of course is true. This is why the founders built the system in the way that they did. And this is why I full-on object when people who are on the right purportedly claim we need to blow away all of the checks and balances of the federal government in order to foster the common good. Um that's the same thing they're saying on the other side, and they are more likely to get what they want than you are to get what you want.
Just going to point it out there.
Because again, the DSA knows they they get it. The Constitution is a hindrance to where they want to go. Which is why they want to obliterate constitutional hindrances like the Constitution.
But again, the DSA is infecting virtually all of the Democratic Party these days. DSA will endorse Democratic candidates against Republicans. They will run DSA candidates against kind of normie Democrats in a wide variety of races.
The radicalization of the Democratic Party is very real. And then of course you just have these sort of weirdos. So James Talarico who is the Senate candidate for Democrats in Texas. And again, the the Talarico race is shockingly shockingly close right now.
If you look at those Talarico polls right now, the Texas Senate election The latest poll from Quantus has Paxton up two points on Talarico.
Two points. Siena has them even.
Not great, Bob.
Hey, but Talarico is a giant weirdo.
He's 37 years old. He still has a joint bank account with his mom.
Which is strange.
And it's being reported by the Washington Free Beacon. It's unclear why Talarico shares the account with his mom, but she appears to be helping him, not vice versa.
Mera Talarico is in her early 60s. She's in good health. She marched in no kings protest in October of 2025.
She's donated a bunch of money to Democrats and she is married to Talarico's adopted father, Mark Talarico.
So um yeah.
Also, they donated to his campaign for state rep, which you would assume they would do. But the fact that he shares a a bank account with mommy let's just say that it is not underscoring his vast masculinity when you share a bank account with your mom at age 37. It's a little weird.
