Iran Says 'Text Not Final' After Trump Claims Khamenei Approved Peace Deal

[00:00:00]Now, we also have a statement coming in from Tehran, where the Iranian [music] side has gone on to say that no deal has been finalized with the United States.

[00:00:07]Iran has further said that the deal text has been mostly finalized. [music] Iran has further gone on to add, and I quote, "We have not reached any final conclusion, and we rejected the latest proposed changes." An important update coming in from Tehran, where on one [music] side Washington says that the deal is very close to being signed, and on the other hand Tehran says [music] that no deal has been finalized with the United States. While it says that the deal text has mostly been finalized, [music] it says that both Tehran as well as Washington have not reached any final conclusion.

[00:00:37]Iran further goes uh goes on to add that Iran has rejected the latest proposed changes [music] by the United States. We also have a reaction coming in from Iran. Let's listen in.

[00:01:44]Well, we have our colleague Pradeep with us in the broadcasting. Pradeep, of course, the claim versus counter-claim narrative still continues. On one hand, the US holds one position. The uh on the other hand, Tehran, of course, contradicts it, >> [music] >> saying that while the deal text has been finalized, a final conclusion has still not been reached between the two parties.

[00:02:01]>> Yes, you're absolutely right. In fact, conflicting and the confronting versions coming from both the sides. On one hand, the United States of America says that they're very close in signing the deal.

[00:02:09]On the other hand, the Iranian leadership is mentioning a stand and that there are certain red lines that they're already there. That they have to look into that. They will be looking into their interest and so text has been finalized for the 14-point deal. But what actually the problem is that they say the US keeps on shifting its position, changing its stance and that is and also sometimes there's a military aggression from this side. That has led to the turbulence so far as the diplomatic negotiations are going on. So till the deal is sealed, nobody can say whether the peace is going to be there or not. But all all I can say right now is that Iran is yet to give a green signal or not to that because that's what one can get from the statement that is coming from the Iranian side. They say that almost the text has been finalized, but till the final signatures are there, a green signal is given from the Iranian supreme leader.
