In high-profile legal cases, attorneys may close client accounts and retain funds after case resolution, raising ethical concerns about attorney-client relationships and financial transparency; families involved in such cases often face challenges in securing alternative funding sources due to media scrutiny and potential exploitation risks.

Charleston White Speaks: The Shocking Karmelo Anthony Attorney Situation!
Added:Okay, guys. I'm going to quickly jump into this video. This is a little small update. Now, y'all know that I just did a video and I was breaking down the Well, part of the video, we talked about what happened to the money because people keep asking, "Where is the money?" Like, "Oh, they had $600,000."
And I'm talking about the Carmelo Anthony family. Well, I just got off the phone um with Charleston White. And it seems like everything I said was pretty accurate. Well, let's kind of get into it. We don't got time for the intro right now cuz I'm trying to get straight to it.
Charleston White confirms that the Carmelo Anthony attorney we know who that is basically closed the account, he got all the money, went on about his business. Now, let me kind of break this down for you all cuz some of y'all were saying you know, the GoFundMe got shut down.
Let me kind of cuz now that I was able to talk to him, it makes more sense.
When you set up these funds, like for instance, for legal expenses the money is supposed to go to the attorney.
So, the way that it was set up is the money's in there goes straight to that attorney, okay?
Guess what? The case is over. The attorney got everything that was left in there.
The account is closed. He also stated that he refused to talk to the parents and told the parents that they need to have Carmelo to call him.
I know. That's That's That's very harsh.
But as we saw everything that went on in this case, this damn lawyer didn't give a damn about him. So, I know everybody was saying, "Oh, you know, the GoFundMe got closed down."
Well, partially that issue, the reason for it is the case is closed. And they also released a statement and they said that. So, by the case being closed, the attorney got the money. The It's closed.
Obviously, he's not representing them um anymore, which I mean, I wouldn't want him, if I was them, to represent me anymore. But, the fact that he's not having any conversation with them and pretty much just you know, disappeared in the background somewhere is pretty much what has happened. But, I wasn't surprised, but interesting, you know, I was like, okay.
I was, you know, I was able to figure it out, right? You know, just by, you know, some of the other stuff that I was hearing and just little bitty pieces of information. Now, I want to touch on two things. One thing that everybody keep asking me is how to donate. I don't know that I don't know these people. Like, I don't know Carmelo, I don't know his mama, I don't know his daddy. I'm just a person that's interested in them getting the proper justice and I've been talking about this. I don't know. I don't know how you would give, you know, any money.
When I was talking to Charleston on the phone, I said, "Listen, um cuz I was thinking maybe cuz I'm trying to figure out like, how can I help?" So, let's say if I raise money, I wouldn't want to do it because I don't want anything to come back to me. I don't like that because for one, I don't want to be responsible for paying taxes on nothing that I didn't actually receive.
So, I was thinking about, okay, so what can we do? I said, "Well, maybe if they got t-shirts." The reason why I said t-shirts is because free Carmelo is something that people can wear all across this nation and I thought it was a good idea. Of course, Charleston White was like, "Why do we always got to sell t-shirts?"
He totally didn't get what I was trying to say. So, he didn't think it was a good idea.
Anyhow, I did, strictly because if t-shirts are are sold, people can go on the website, pay their $20, they can donate that way.
But in in that particular manner, the money will go straight to the family. If you guys are familiar with these platforms, they do take part of the money. Essentially, too, if you set it up and say it's for attorney fees, it has to go strictly for attorney fees. Also, that can be a problem because let's say they do another one and they get a million dollars.
Attorneys will see that and take advantage of this family like what happened the last time. So, what he is saying is they really don't want to do it in that manner anymore cuz honestly, it does open them up for people that want to scam. Because listen, if I can go and look at a GoFundMe and it say you got a million dollars and you ask me how much I charge, well, I'm not going to say me, but some attorney will be like, "Well, my you know, well, you I just enough." So, what it seems like he's trying to do is find ways to actually protect the family.
So, in in doing so, I don't know, you know, what they're going to do. He stated that, you know, they're not really interested in opening up another account, but like I said, I don't know how that's going to work cuz what if the family decides they want to open up another another account.
He also indicated that they're straight that they have raised a bunch of money.
I'm not going to say the amount because I feel like, you know, it's never enough because you have to really think about it like this.
Not only do they have to pay for their son's new attorney fees, they have to live. Now, I know some people will probably think, "Well, why won't they just get a job?" Imagine trying to get a job when you and your family is all over each and every news station. They are not going to be able to work like that right now. Well, we know that the mother was a stay-at-home mom anyway. So, they're trying to I guess think of ways that it's not going to be a situation with creating like a Gifts and Go because it it uh in all honesty, it was a red flag and it does open them up for scamming ass people. Let's just call it what it is because if I have to pay for an attorney, I want to write a check because I want to have proof that I paid you. I don't want to get your account number and put it in my account and you just get in there and get the money on day one. I think that's a bad idea, too, but because so many people want to give all over the United States, I was like, okay, I thought that it was a good idea, but being that, you know, people are also doing weird with trying to get us shut down, telling the people he a convicted felon. So, all of those little things, he was just like, ah, I guess they was real apprehensive. Now, I don't know again if the family may do it anyway, but from what my conversation was with him, eh, it's like they don't really want to do it like that at this juncture. Now, some of you guys were still asking, so I hope I explained that correctly and you understand. Until they open up a new account or if they don't open up a new account, I don't know how you will be able to give money to him. And then I asked the same question. I said, "Listen, you know, people on my platform and, you know, even myself would like to give and he pretty much were, you know, was like, okay, well, he he actually said that they was straight. So, I don't know I don't I don't know what that means, so I don't know how straight a person can be because, listen, donations, donations, donations. So, I don't know what that was all about, but anywho, he did confirm that the lawyer took the money, closed the account, and did not or will not have any further conversation with the family.
Doesn't that tell the story that I've been telling over here.
You sit your punk ass in this courtroom.
This kid got 35 years, I think they said, and you won't even talk to the family. Have you guys saw him in a press conference? Have you saw anything about him as it relates to this family? So, I kind of understand why they probably don't want to move into the the direction of a crowdfund because you know, it can be, you know, an issue, but it also can be an issue because what what tends to happen is um we're dealing with a lot of racist people as it relates, and they can report it. They can do all sorts of things when it's a crowdfund like that. So, I don't know. I feel like Well, he did say this. There are things that they're doing, but they want to keep it secret, which I totally agree. I feel like and I was, you know, told this as well that there are, you know, celebrities and people that that's helping them that want to remain anonymous, and I think that they should because you got to understand we're dealing with a bunch of racist people, and their entire livelihoods is finding out how they can make another person miserable. We just watched his father on Now, he's on every blog just ranting out racist rhetoric. So, you know, these are special kind of individuals. They're not happy, and their whole purpose in life is to see how they can make the black folks mad, but little do they know we don't give a damn. We don't give a damn about them. We don't give a damn about what they say. We having a good day while they over there punching the air.
Punching the air.
So, the purpose of this video, Charleston White confirms that the attorney took the money, closed the account, and it's not He's not having any further communication with the parents, and told the parents have Carmelo to call them.
