It captures the reality that even at Cambridge, high-level research is mostly just disciplined, repetitive housekeeping for cells. This is a grounded look at the unglamorous daily grind behind scientific prestige.

Another standard day in the lab where I got to keep growing my cells and I made some more Chemgene
Added:Hello everyone, I'm Felix and this is researching everyday [music] at the University of Cambridge until I complete my PhD in stem cell biology.
Today was day number [music] 16 and like everyday I started my day by taking a look at my [music] cells under the microscope and they were looking good.
So, some of the cells were looking a bit too dense, so I drained their old media, and added some detacher to add them to new plates, >> [music] >> and then I did media change for these neural crest cells here.
Uh they look like they just need a feed and opportunity to grow a bit more. You can see them sort of dotted around the plate. They need to get a bit denser before I do anything with them. So, you can just see [music] me putting them in the culture hood to give them some food. Finally, I made some Chemgene which is the chemical we sterilize our tissue culture hood with.
I worked 7 [music] hours for the day and 481 hours towards the PhD. Follow to see my journey.
