BETRAYAL — Republicans Put Midterm Elections At Risk

[00:00:00]Now, there has been another disappointment when it comes to the map redistricting wars and a deep red state appears to have been compromised. They are rejecting a plan that would see them pick up more seats in future elections. Before we get into the story, please like, share, and comment at Explain America. We appreciate your support for common sense journalism. Now, ever since the disastrous 2020 election, conservative Republicans have been scratching their heads about the state of Georgia. The Peach State has constantly defied expectations and they have gone against President Donald Trump. And of course, we don't even need to get into the CD details of the 2020 election and all the suspect machinations there, especially in Fulton County, Georgia. Now, enough ink has been spilled about that race, but we have even more causes for concern when it comes to Georgia politics. And of course, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, he has been at the forefront of a anti-Trump campaign for some time now and we're seeing the fruits of that labor right now in the Georgia legislature, where there was a bill put forth to redistrict the congressional map in that state to gain 11 Republican seats overall. That would be a plus two for the GOP, but that would be for the 2028 election. Now, I know a lot of conservatives are distraught about this and they're rightfully angry at Kemp about it. But, that being said, the Republicans, they simply said that there needs to be more time and input about these races. There have been lawsuits against the redistricting some of these seats. And so, it seems to me that we're getting angry about something that is taking place in the future, actually. The 2028 election. Uh the real disappointment is they didn't move to do this before the 2026 election. And that's the thing to really be upset about because it still remains a strong option that they do go back and use the Louisiana versus Calais Supreme Court decision in order to pick up two more seats. That's right, removing the uh alleged racial bias argument off the table. Uh that's right.

[00:02:24]Uh there been uh a lot of racial gerrymandering accusations by leftist groups in the South to prevent the GOP from redistricting their states.

[00:02:34]Meanwhile, in New England, they're all Democrats, not a single Republican seat despite approximately 40% GOP voters uh in those New England states. So, uh this is a disappointment to say the very least, but are we really surprised?

[00:02:51]Governor Kemp has been a disaster.

[00:02:53]Um Raffensperger has been horrible. We don't know what's going on in Georgia and in South Carolina. I mean, we have Senator Lindsey Graham there. Uh these places are messes, but they are dominated by conservative Republicans.

[00:03:07]Uh evangelicals to uh have a lot of sway in these states.

[00:03:11]Uh it's hard to understand why we get such bad Republicans, but it seems like the whole system is rotten.

[00:03:18]It's going to take a lot of work in the primaries to ensure that the RINOs get removed and uh that means they should uh really show a determination to fight for the voters and to make sure that uh that they have the right representation in Congress to ensure that our constitutional republic remains safe, uh prosperous, and successful moving forward.
