It is truly amazing to touch base with a lot of you and it is wonderful to see how much Michael Jackson continues to be supported and it's just been a truly amazing year for Michael Jackson fans.

[00:01:04]2026 has just been astonishing and this movie continues to blow up the box office in all corners of the world. Now, when I say Michael annihilates the box office in Japan, I have some figures that truly back that up and when you take a look at that opening weekend, which was a three-day weekend, which was a Friday, a Saturday and a Sunday, Michael clinched 6.8 million in Japan.

[00:01:36]Now, when we take a look at all opening weekends in Japan in 2026, you will soon see that Michael has just annihilated every movie in its path. So, when it comes to the top five opening weekends in Japan this year, Michael is firmly sitting at number one with a $6.8 million take. Now, please let me clarify that these are the top five opening weekends for Hollywood films in Japan.

[00:02:09]Japan has a lot of content of its own and they're very successful films as well. One of the big ones this year has been Detective Conan Fallen Angel of the Highway. That was a Toho film and that movie has been smashing the box office.

[00:02:27]But Japanese films are a different story. We're focusing here on the Hollywood connection and Michael, as expected, has been a triumphant success.

[00:02:39]Number two is Prada 2 at $6.1 million.

[00:02:43]Number three is Star Wars The Mandalorian and Grogu at $5.3 million.

[00:02:50]And then we have Wicked for Good, which came in at $3.3 million. And sitting at number five was the Super Mario Galaxy movie, which made a whopping total of $3.1 million during its opening weekend in Japan. So, those are the films.

[00:03:11]Michael at number one, Prada 2 at number two, number three is The Mandalorian and Grogu, number four is Wicked for Good, and number five is the Super Mario Brothers Galaxy movie. So, when it comes to opening weekends in Japan, Michael was where it was at. They came, they supported, they saw this movie in droves. The Japanese fans absolutely love Michael Jackson and they truly enjoyed watching this movie on the big screen. They celebrated, they danced, they cheered, they laughed, they screamed.
